“What is unique about the property and management is that the Refuge truly cares about customer relationships. The staff is top-notch and super helpful and delightful, the room and amenties far exceed any experience we've had at other establishments on Chincoteague Island. “Not worth what I paid for a night ($131) First room they gave me smelled terrible, musty and moldy. Couch and bedding smelled of mildew, maybe it was the carpet too but I wasn't daring enough to smell it. I at first thought it was because the ac was on and the filter was bad, so I turned it off and saw 1/2 inch of dead bugs in the vents! Opened the doors and windows and that brought fresh air from the bay but not enough. Asked for another room and they gave me one. This one was much fresher...
