The staff was amazing here.... especially Constantina and Nykos! The room was nice and they have a lovely rooftop bar! The hotel was super convenient to everything we wanted to see and the hotel even arranged transportation for us from the airport and to the ferry. I highly recommend this hotel!

The area at first looked a little sketchy but it was actually very safe and lively and we could walk everywhere. Our room had an amazing full view of the acropolis as does the rooftop. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is in a very nice restaurant down the street

PLAY Theatrou Athens is fantastic. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The rooftop bar has a spectacular view! I loved being able to easily reach hotel staff through WhatsApp. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood around the hotel is diverse and vibrant, convenient to all popular Athens attractions. It is also well situated for exploration of off the beaten path sights. When I return to Athens, I definitely will stay at PLAY Theatrou again.

The staff at the hotel are amazing! Very helpful and very kind. Nothing is too much effort. The rooms and hotel itself are spotless! We had a free upgrade, which was very appreciated on arrival. The hotel is above a really popular local restaurant. It's within easy walking distance of two metro stations. We're very happy we booked the hotel and would stay again.

The hotel was great, staff at front desk were amazing and friendly. Night time on foot in the area was a little scary but once inside all safe and cozy. I’m sure that will change since the neighborhood is under remodeling I hear. We would stay again. Again the people at front desk top tier. I would hire them for my hotel if I could.

The service we received at the hotel is amazing. Nothing to say about that or the cleanliness. They are quick to answer and help if needed. The only bemol would be that the insulation is not great so you hear a lot of the outside noises. You should definitely take the time to visit the hotel rooftop. The view of the Acropolis is impressive!

The roo. Was very clean a d modern with a large window that opened. Lobby was quite nicely dedorated and the rooftop patio view of the acropolis was a highlight. I dont think i would stay in this exact area area as it was quite gritty but nicer more manicured areas were nearby. Hotel was great, area less so.

The room was spacious, clean and each bedroom had a balcony and the view of the Acropolis was outstanding from the living room balcony! The hotel staff was excellent and very responsive to our needs. We were even given a bottle of local wine to welcome us! The area that the hotel is located in seemed a bit sketchy upon arrival with graffiti everywhere. One of our taxi drivers told us 10 years ago, the area was bad but it has improved tremendously. It appears the area is going through a regentrification. It is centrally located within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The restaurants were great and the shopping fantastic and all the people we met were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay at the Play Theatrou Athens!

The room was very nice, spacious, clean and overall great value for what I paid. Check in was smooth. One highlight was the restaurant just outside the hotel serving delicious, authentic Greek food. While the immediate area around the hotel feels a bit gritty, you are just a 5 minute walk from several nice spots and major attractions, which makes the location very convenient overall.

The staff was professional, informative, pleasant, and helpful to arrange transfers. One person in particular at the reception area was Myleta. She made us smile everyday starting with her infectious smile every morning when she greeted us as we walked through the lobby. She made sure that we had everything we needed and gave us good advice on where to go, what to see and how to get there. All of the staff were cheerful and pleasant. What we really appreciated is that the hotel location is just outside of the tourist area meaning less crowded with tourists and more authentic food as well as local people eating and singing at the restaurant on the street level below the hotel. We had a chance to meet and talk with Athenians living in the area!!!! We would definitely stay here the next time we visit Athens.

The room overall was great , clean . Around the area it has a lot of old buildings and lots of graffiti, but that’s all around Athens . The place is safe the people around are nice and it’s safe to walk around . Loved that 2 blocks away you have the tourist area lots to eat and shop . It’s only like 20 mt. Walki from the acropolis. And you have the view of the acropolis from the roof top ( very nice ) definitely would stay here again . Make sure you get your PIN number to enter the hotel before you arrive . That’s something I don’t know . But luckily there was someone coming out when we got there , it was at night .

Perfect location, great room - we got an upgrade. The air conditioning in the room was the best we have ever had in hotel rooms. Great service even before arrival with organization of the transfer. We can only recommend the hotel for a weekend in Athens.

Very good communication through WhatsApp Let us know about the strike so we can come prepare. Help us book the taxi even request is last minute. Print documents for us as well. They gave small bottle of alcohol for free. The only downside is there was completely no room to put toiletry in the vanity area. The hallway was also dark unless someone passed by so the light would be on. The couple blocks within the hotel is a bit ghetto, but all attractions like acropolis and plaka are within walking distance
