Quiet Haven

This B&B is up-to-date, clean, and comfortable. The host is friendly and helpful. It's out of town so a car is essential.

Relaxing B & B

Very relaxing. Friendly, helpful and approachable landlady. I would definitely recommend this B & B to anyone travelling to Athlone.

Really beautiful and meticulously maintained!

Wonderful hosts! She welcomed us at the door, made us feel right at home. We were only there one night and it was raining so we didn't get to enjoy their garden. It is just a couple minutes outside of downtown. She recommended a couple restaurants. Room was lovely and breakfast was very good, Irish breakfast. Quiet place.

Nothing negative can be said about the house, or the staff! The closest thing that can be said as derogatory, is that it is a few minute drive away from the town center (5 to 10). That being said, there is no road noise and the peace and quite of the surroundings is amazing! The view is a whole other wonderful thing to boot! The owners are some of the best people we have stayed with too, and thats after staying in about 20 B&B's in Ireland now.

An in-between stop before heading home, the owner was very nice and helpful, but the room we had was small and difficult to move around in. The bathroom was also tight.

Very warm welcome and helpful advices. Breakfast-service like in a hotel. Quiet location but no riverview ;-) With pleasure again.

Convenient to Motorway

The proprietor was very welcoming and friendly, and provided useful information on the sites in the surrounding area. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again.

Bon accueil mais chambre très bruyante car mal isolée à la fois de l étage inférieur et de la route sur laquelle elle do ne. En revanche, excellent breakfast et propriétaires accueillants.

Absolutely excellent

Sean & Carmel were more than excellent hosts. The breakfasts were of a consistently high standard and Carmel was most helpful in helping us plan our sightseeing and locating good places to eat. Would thoroughly recommend this B&B. Arthur and Beth

Great Stay

Carmel was a gracious host though we only stayed for a few hours. The breakfast was good and filling. What is more, she had little rolls and beverages in our room in case we had a craving to satisfy. Carmel also recommended a nearby small town known for its art shops. Good recommendation!

ok for the one night

the bed and breakfast in general is of a decent quality, the breakfast was excellent, and the host very friendly. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom let the room down greatly, in that it required updating, the sink itself was cracked, and there was no power in the shower, not to mention no real hot water supply to the shower either. The other major problem was the lack of any effective soundproofing between the rooms. We were able to hear someone in the next room using the toilet, as in being able to know exactly what they were using the toilet for!! Also, when they put on the television, it seemed like it was up very loud, but we realised it was simply the thin walls. Parking is an issue here as well, no marked spaces, and the area available to park in is tight.

Ce Bed and Breakfast est agréable et calme. La chambre de 3 lits confortables était grande et joliment décorée. Par contre, les rideaux ne suffisent pas à occulter la lumière du matin. Breakfast honorable et hôtesse attentionnée.
