"Loved the location on the edge of town. Quiet, with generous parking and easy access into Athy. A very large room, with comfortable seating for 2. A spacious bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Generous, spacious, comfortable, lounge areas. A superb breakfast with many choices and waitress service. Delicious food avaiable in the Bistro....highly recommend the braised blade of beef.. Clearly a popular destination within the local community."

"Kilkea castle and grounds are spectacular. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The room is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The food at the restaurant is delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit."

"It was amazing dinner and breakfast and we are enjoying at talbot Carlow hotel and there is swimming and sauna and hot deep box and bowling next door and foods shopping over road and shame as we have not got time to do at gym oh never mind and the manager and staff are helpful and friendly and thank you to them for hard work and bed help us comfort sleep and smile 👍😇thank you again "

"A perfect place for us just an hour from Dublin airport. Now we can stay here instead of an airport hotel for most of our travels back and forth from Dingle. Much nicer room and bath, lovely restaurant, prettier location and less expensive. We are thrilled to have found this hotel."
