Darrell was very welcoming and kind and even called earlier in the day to let me know his wife was sick and wouldn't be able to cook breakfast (as she would need to stay away from spreading germs while she healed) and asked if I wanted to cancel. I thought that was very thoughtful to give me the option to cancel and provided a breakfast gift card, but I felt safe to still stay. I didn't meet lovely Marla...

“I was welcomed like a friend the moment I walked through the door, unpretentious and genuinely warm. The house is charming and full of history. It's a Victorian home built by a shipbuilder in the 1800s. There's something pretty special about staying somewhere with that much history. The comfort matched the character of the place, and the homemade baking alone is worth the visit. When I had to leave before the crack of dawn to catch a flight, there was a box waiting for me with a packed breakfast...
