Staff were friendly and available except for the room service where nobody picked up. The entire place was quiet and access to the city easy along with good parking. The room was very comfortable so our time in Auckland was made very easy.

Happy with the room very comfortable beds and plenty of room -but a pity the shower is over the bath - very dangerous Would not recommend the dining as not up to standard of prices . We suggested the chef tasted his food as the duck was tough and obviously cooked incorrectly .the salad appeared to have been tipped out of a bag on the other .The staff were very pleasant meal . Didn't fancy the smorgasbord .

The room should be better serviced for multiple night stays. Milk tea and coffee should be replenished each day, they weren't. The bed should be remade as it is on first night stay, it wasn't. It's not a 1 star hotel so those simple things need to be attended to.

We strive to ensure that all rooms and bathrooms are checked prior to our guest’s arrival as a quality control measure and in this instance it seems not to have been the case.This complaint has been forwarded to the Executive Housekeeper and her team reminding them to be more vigilant in quality management to minimise the risk of this reoccurring in the future.

Great base for the car show
I stayed here for the Ellerslie classic car show as th ehotel is only a 5 minute walk away. Ideal for that. Room was a good size and very comfortable. Gluten free options for doinner at. the bar or in the restaurant were very limited but breakfast was much better. (I have the coeliac condition so this is very inportant.) Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay again next time I go to the car show.

I stayed in Novotel/Ibis hotels in many countries and different continents therefore is a review based in experience as well. I will not stay again again in this hotel. The hotel is okay (the building is mixed between Ibis & Novotel) and no complaints regarding the building, location or cleaning. This particular Novotel/Ibis have poor management skills. We stayed a few days as a family (with a young kid) and specifically for the weekend they allocated opposite and between our room a huge amount of teenagers making party, screaming at night, insulting/fighting and vaping in the hall, etc (something that not even in a cheap Hostel happens). Took many attempts for the reception to take acknowledge of the situation (specially for the fighting and the insults that generated guests to feel unsafe). The reception argued that because the hotel was full they allocated people as possible and they only took seriously the situation when I mentioned to the reception that I will escalate to the authorities and the teenagers where jumping in the Hall.

Location was great, only a short distance from the highway. Parking was always available. Staff service was less than optimal. Requested bathrobes and slippers for two people on the first day of our stay and still missing one bathrobe by the time we checked out. Breakfast was adequate, not fancy. Things were just put away at the end of breakfast without reminders to guests, which were usually expected in other hotels. Overall, the hotel does not look as good as in the pictures we saw.

Very disappointed to call upon booking and be told there would be pleanty of disability parking to accommodate my disabled sister. Had to fight for a park each time we got back and then even got told that we wouodnt be able to stay parked in the disability park we had got because they had a conference on that night. Not sure what happened to being paying customers, also paying for parking???? Would not stay again as it made for a very stressful stay
