"Great location but that's it. Charged £300 for something that was beyond my control at the start despite them agreeing with my procedure. Unclear policies. Front desk staff aren't helpful, just roll their eyes at questions. It should be a 3* maximum, calling it a 4* is a joke. Rooms severely outdated with stains everywhere. TV stopped working and had to be changed. Shower is hard. Bed isnt comfortable. Paper thin walls. Many many many better options nearby, don't be lulled into this for the price."

"Prime location for beach, restaurants, shops and transportation. The service at the hotel was excellent. Clean room with good housekeeping services. Large bathroom with excellent shower. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was good and always fresh. Enjoyed our stay at the Windsor California. ***Beach view and access was number one***"

"Location and amenities are a plus, but the size of the rooms is rather disappointing. Also, the lack of power outlets near the bed I found very inconvenient. Would not consider this property for future travel due to the size of the rooms. "

"Lovely the staff, the breakfast is incredible, great view from the roof terrace. Location is exceptional too. The window (city side) was not very sound proof, the room was quite small and they could do with some showers or an area to wash off the sand from the beach before going into the hotel. Also a drinking water fountain - the jugs at reception were always empty. "

"The view of Copacabana Beach was spectacular! The view of the city and even Sugar Loaf in the distance. Roof top bar/restaurant very nice too, right next to the infinity pool. We had room 2007 on the 20th floor. Breakfast buffet excellent too! Lots of items."
