"We stayed at Kates Farm for a couple of nights as it was a convenient distance from Kilmington where we were attending a family party. We were given a friendly welcome and the food was excellent, from the tea and biscuits which Kate provided on our arrival through to the delicious farmhouse breakfasts. The room was quite small but it did have the advantage of a door leading out on the garden so we could easily let our wire haired dachshund out. He did disgrace himself by jumping into the garden pond to cool down but Kate was not fazed by this and suggested dunking him in the nearby trough to clean him off. The coast is easily accessible by car from the farmhouse and we enjoyed a swim in the sea at Branscombe on a baking hot day. Enjoyable all round."

"The hotel is ideally located in a quiet street and the parking was helpful. The view from the windows was a bonus, I could actually hear the waves. The room size was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of wardrobe & cupboard space, bright and airy and a fan provided which was useful. Bed was comfortable and staff in reception were really kind & helpful. One small slightly annoying factor was an air-lock or similar in upper room’s water system which did make a noise. Notwithstanding this I would definitely stay again."

"Hotel has been refurbished downstairs in the main areas to a high standard, the patio area also. However the bedrooms are in need of some updating. Shower room had nowhere to put any cleaning stuff! The shower didn't work properly. Bed was really comfy. Great breakfasts maybe a bit expensive. This is constructive criticism, the place is great and I'd stay there again."

"Fantastic location to escape busy nearby seaside towns,accomodation was basic but eco friendly and has its own charm.what else do you need to relax and rest after all day at the beach? . We had a room on the second floor,the view from the window was great;,meadow and trees .the smell of the lavenders at the evening from the front yeard were truly amazing! The staff member who welcomed us was friendly and polite ,and she showed us around everything. The breakfast was self serviced based ,but my son was excited he could cook his own scrambled eggs in a kids friendly kitchen and had fun doing his own toast in the toaster.everything was really easy reachable and handy in the kitchen and dining area. We were eating breakfast in the communal area where all guest can sit together. We really enjoyed our stay at the court. I genuinely recommend it. It's also worth to visit the small garden opposite the court,it's open 10-4 every day and you can leave small donation in the front if you want to."
