The property is a quaint and enchanting hotel with a clean room, comfortable bed, amenities and tasteful/whimsical decor. The hostess/owner, Demet was super helpful and kind she gave us the best recommendations and always welcomed us with delicious treats. Well located within walking distance to the oceanfront, cafes, boutiques, touristic attractions, etc. We stayed two wonderful nights with my husband and enjoyed excursions to Çunda and Ķüccüköy as well. Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend Gaja Rooms highly enough. Even before arriving, the owner, Demet, was incredibly helpful with tips and advice. The place feels newly refurbished; the rooms are spacious, spotless, and tastefully furnished, and I only regret staying for just one night. The location is ideal—set in a very quiet part of the old town, yet perfectly placed for exploring the city and easily reaching great restaurants, cafés, and pubs. What truly made the stay outstanding, though, was Demet’s warm welcome: it felt less like staying at a guesthouse and more like visiting a friend.

We stayed at Gaja Hotel for three nights. The owners, Demet and Gökhan, are wonderful! We visit Ayvalık at least once a year to see my husband's family, so we're very familiar with the area. We've stayed in many different places, and we're glad Gaja opened because now we know where to stay in the future. The hotel is located outside the busy area but is within walking distance to the center. It has a beautiful breakfast that we enjoyed every morning. The room was spacious, with AC, a refrigerator, and a safe. The hotel is very clean and modern, and the room had everything we needed. There’s a coffee shop nearby called Crown Coffee Roastery—everything I’ve tried there was great. It’s an expert coffee shop with high-quality options. I also buy coffee beans from Crown; they have interesting blends, from red wine to pine honey. There’s a local shop, Moyy Atölye, right on the main street next to the hotel. I’ve bought jewelry and clothing there over the years and enjoy using them. We enjoyed our stay at Gaja—it’s convenient yet private. We will definitely be back!

a wonderful stay

This was a perfect stay for us. We very asked about our arrival and departure hours and the hotel provided us a very warm wellcome and even there were some Christmas cookies in our room and the reception area. The products used in the hotel are from sustainable sources. When we were leaving, Ms. Demet gave us some freshly baked pastery.

Üç günlük ayvalık tatilimizin en başından itibaren sevgili Demet hanım her konuda bize çok yardımcıydı. Eğer ayvalık merkezde konaklamayı düşünüyorsanız daha iyi bir seçenek var mıdır bilmiyorum. Oda temizliği gayet iyiydi hiç bir problem yoktu. Kahvaltısı Demet hanım ve eşi Gökhan beyin maharetli ellerinden hazırlanmıştı. Her gün farklı bir sıcak tattık. Gayet yeterli ve doyurucu açık büfeydi. Herkesten 10 puan almasına bende katılıyorum. El yapımı ekmeklerinizi özleyeceğim Demet hanım :) (park sorunu genel olarak Ayvalıkta var ama işletmeciler bu konuda yardımcı oluyor.)

Daha rezervasyon aşamasında Demet hanım harika bir ev sahibi sorumluluğu ile bize yardımcı oldu. Gaja'ya varmadan önce konumu detaylı tarif etti, park yerini gösterdi. Küçük ama çok güzel, zevkli ve sade eşyalar ile döşenmiş bir işletme. Demet hanım girişte bizi karşıladı, odamızı gösterdi, ayvalık için tavsiyelerde bulundu. Odalar, duş, lavabo her şey çok temiz. Bir kez daha gelirsek mutlaka Gaja'yı tercih edeceğiz.

Otele varmadan önce Demet Hanım bizi otelin konumu ve çevrede yapılacaklarla ilgili bilgilendirdi. Daha önce Ayvalık’a defalarca gelmemize rağmen en çok memnun kaldığımız yer burası oldu. Otelin konumu, odaların büyüklüğü, yatakların rahatlığı ve tabiki temizlik mükemmeldi. Misafirler için yapılmış minik kurabiyeler ve meyve sepeti çok ince düşünülmüş ayrıntılardı, çok hoşumuza gitti. Bundan sonra her Ayvalık gezimizde tercih edeceğimiz otel.. :)
