"Great location if you’re arriving in or leaving Fiji. Our room in the new block was clean, but pretty average overall. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the service was a bit hit and miss. Overall, it’s fine for a short stay, especially given the location. Just don’t expect too much and you’ll be alright."

"Just a fabulous property! Spotless, great food and pretty! The pools were amazing and the layout of the hotel is great. The staff gets to know you quickly and they even remembered my breakfast coffee order. The negative is the beach. It is dark sand and made the water look brown. We never went in and we didn't see anyone else either. We did great snorkling trips and saw white sand beaches and swam. We were at the hotel for 4 nights and moved on. Had We stayed longer,and not been able to use the beach , I would lower my 5 rating. The hotel can't help the geography so they made up for it with an expansive pool system. The Fijian people are wonderful and very helpful and many times wanting to know how we are enjoying the hotel. So a 5 star rating it is."

"We stayed at First Landing for 1 week and it was great! Lovely staff, great breakfast buffet, amazing dinner shows (warriors and fire dance) and well located away of the more touristic areas. Will definately stay again. Vinaka to all the staff!"

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Belo Vula resort! To get to the property you must take a ferry boat from Lautoka to Bekana Island. There was no extra charge for that ferry. You have your own bure (bungalow) right off the beach, about 25 yards from the ocean! Beautiful views! Life jackets and kayaks are free to use on your stay. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying at this location!"

"The apartment was good for our needs. But my friend felt unsafe as the bathroom window safety screan was partially damaged the fly sceen was off. Mould in the showers. Lots of mould, not just a little. There was Mould on the ceiling about a foot round with a 5cm hole. And cement in the window frame which made it hard to open/close the window. Dirty doors. No toilet roll holder. Shower hose was spraying everywhere except on my body. We decided to stay because, better the devil you know than the devil you don't. The staff were so lovely. Apparently the rooms were being renovated. But we where charge full price. No shampoo or conditioner available. "

"Lai was a great host and looked after us well. He cooked lovely dinners and told us about the local walks and even played the guitar for us. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed swimming in the river and patting the cat. Just note that during our visit the wifi wasn’t working and we found the bed uncomfortable. Also, take cash to pay for your meals."
