"Absolute great vibe of a hotel. Checking in staff were super friendly answered all my questions. Exploring the place was a blast seeing all the snapshots of history in the hotel was great.
The lift was a vibe if not a little scary though. A pain in the ass if some chum hasnt closed both doors and you have to go up and locate what floor it is on so my dad on crutches could get to the 2nd floor.
Heating was not great for my room (the ther two were fine) I know ballarat winters are a different kind of beast but I asked for the heating to be fixed in my room (was told by reception was getting fixed that day) but alas it was not fixed for the two days I was there.
Having to pay for on street parking for the duration of the stay was pretty poor. I'm already spending money on the hotel at least reserve enough parks or have a dedicated space for parking."
"Nice motel. Nice breakfast. Owners Mark and Kylie were very nice Helpful.
Good parking. Excellent location in city centre. Close to shops and restaurants."
"DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO DUST
Room appeared clean enough on the surface, comfy ish bed how ever, room was full of dust to the point that I'm now on antibiotics for sinusitis and steroids for an asthma flare up.
Staff (the 1 we saw) was friendly and helpful, made sure we had clean towels.
The pool is not heated to 28 as advised, and has a 'lovely' layer of green on the ground. While the rooms are non smoking there are tables set up outside the rooms so good luck if your neighbor smokes.
Quiet location, convenient to everything with clean bathrooms just needs a total overhaul and update of the bedrooms."
"Bedside tables hadn’t been wiped clean. The bathroom sink didn’t drain well. There was a terribly strong smell of smoke in the bathroom. Helen’s customer service was exemplary."
"The location was good, Very pleasant gentleman whi checked us in. The property was neat and attractive and I have never seen a room as cleanand inviting as this one. Would definately choose to stay here if ever needed again./"
