“The hotel, staff, breakfast, bathroom and bedroom were all very good. The poor rating is because it's impossible to get a decent sleep! The stairs up to my room and a cluster of other rooms are made of wood, so when one group of guests came home at 1:05am, I'm woken up just by their footsteps clomping and echoing on the wooden stairs. Then at 3:41am, a family leaves early for the airport, so I'm re-awoken, again by the stairs. No one was rude or yelling or drunk. The design makes it inevitable...

“It’s a nice room with decent security entering the property. It was also close to the train so it made traveling easy. The only thing I didn’t really like was the room I was given was a double room which I didn’t really need that had a door that looked like it was a sliding door at one point that they locked in place; I didn’t feel comfortable with it so I blocked it off with furniture. All in all I didn’t have a problem while I was there and though I would ask for another room I’d stay there...

“The Hotel was in an excellent location for either walking or driving to explore. Breakfast was delicious and extensive, the room was very comfortable with a sea view, and there are multiple restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we were able to check in several hours early. I would highly recommend the Hotel Al Madurig to anyone wishing to stay in the charming town of Castellammare del Golfo.”
