Such a kind and lovely staff and such a luxurious place to stay with family.
The staff was attentive and helpful and we enjoyed amenities of this hotel.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful as was the spa personnel. The room was clean and comfortable. The sheets were a little stiff and not the most comfortable. We used the thermal suite for one hour and it needed some TLC. Tiles were falling off in the steam room seats making the seats a little gritty.
All in all I would recommend this accommodation.
The Villa Rose is a nice hotel and offers free parking and access to the facilities at its sister hotel just a short walk away. There are also great dining options and a very nice spa. Staff here were excellent and extremely polite! We unfortunately stayed during a hot spell and the hotel was not equipped to handle that issue entirely. One small fan was provided for a family size room and one morning we noted that the heat in the hallway was blazing! Another concern is the WiFi. It was inconsistent at best and this would make it very difficult for any business traveler who wanted to work during travel. A system update to help the WiFi work more consistently throughout the two buildings would be wonderful!
The whole package is perfect, bar meals were topnotch, breakfast wa tasty and fresh. Our bed was fantastic, really hard to leave!anothergood Galen hotel.we will return.
Breakfast was good but you need to be early. Half an hour before the end, nothing was topped up fresh and some things had run out. Bar menu good. Room was clean. Staff were friendly.
The Villa Rose Hotel was a lovely place to stay. From the beautifully, appointed room, the delicious food, to the excellent and efficient service. I definitely will plan to stay here on future visits.
This was our first time staying at the Villa Rose, and we couldnt have pick a better hotel, the staff were fantastic, the room, 273, was immaculate, spacious and the bed very very comfortable.
We ate at the Forge bar on Saturday evening, and again, the restaurant staff were brilliant, the food plentiful, and the atmosphere warm.
The room was great , clean and tidy , warm and modern bright bathroom. The staff were brilliant very friendly, courteous and helpful. The food was top notch too. We eat in the forge bar, two nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Villa Rose for wee break.
My wife and I enjoyed a three day stay 17th - 20th May.
We stayed in a twin room (148) on the first floor. The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. We stayed on a B&B basis, but we also ate in the bar in the evenings. The breakfast was a buffet affair, but the food was fresh and very tasty. The bar menu in the evenings was the same each night with a limited selection, but again the food was very tasty and reasonable.
The staff in all areas were attentive and very friendly.
We had 1 issue with a leaking electric kettle, but when we reported it, it was replaced within the hour.
Overall, we had a nice stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made a great impression.
The bathroom was very clean, but the bathtub was quite tall, making it a little difficult to get in and out. Also, my husband is 6’2”, and the shower head was mounted too low for him to shower comfortably.
The hotel does not have air conditioning, but they provide a floor fan in the room. We found that the fan kept the room comfortable, even without A/C.
One downside was that the elevator was extremely slow, so be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy times.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with excellent customer service, and we’d consider staying here again.
