Good stay, wouldn't mind to come back again
The pictures are a bit deceiving.
My room much older then represented on picture, or I was in a wrong room :)
Anyhow, it was a bit smelly when I first arrived looks like no one was in that room for some time, but after few days after I used the room air in the room got better.
Room is spacious and has everything you basically need.
I would prefer shower over bathtub, but bathroom overall is good.
Breakfast is good as well, egg any style, toast, ham, fruite, salad, coffee, tea, cereals...
Location is a bit far from main Sukhumvit road but they have tuk-tuk service that drives every hour to closest BTS. You need to ask on reception.
Or 5 min walk.
I got good price because I book 2 months upfront, not sure I would pay regular price
Mukava paikka ja henkilökunta.
Ainoa miinus on suihku joka on suunniteltu lyhyemmille ihmisille.
Ja altaalle ei oikein aurinko paista.
Ruoka oli hyvää ja henkilökunta auttaa kaikessa. Tulen mielelläni uudestaan tähän hotelliin.
In rush for morning flight yet being hold back by the reception for 20 minutes as she accused us for a missing glass from the room. Why on the earth we would want to take a glass? I didn't even bothered using the kettle provided. After throwing off my temper she finally let us leave without having to pay for the "missing glass", it was there after all.
Hotel is a distance from BTS station (15 minutes walk) and amenities were very basic. Towel, shampoo and hair dryer are given, no toothbrush. Floor towel was not given on one day but didn't mind that.
Room is clean but the lighting is quite poor (only 2 bed side lights and entrance light which is dim yellow). Thank god there's window and balcony to give some light during day time.
Overall it was a budget stay since we spent most of the time outside so don't give high expectations.
Don’t show up early because check in isn’t until 2pm and they will leave you sitting in the lobby for hours and hours. We sat for 6. Without even the offer of water or coffee. While the hotel itself is a great location, the staffs lack of smiles or attempt at comfort brought this review down. The only room available after a 6 hour wait was a smoking room. It truly stunk. But it was whatever, for NYE in Bangkok it sufficed.

Mein Badezimmer muss renoviert werden
Mein Badezimmer hatte seine besten Zeiten vor einem Weilchen gehabt, desshalb "nur" eine 3 bei Sauberkeit - sonst 4. Rest gut. Harte gute Maratze, Safe, Minibar mit zusätzlichem Platz. Sehr ruhig für BKK. Zwischen 2 BTS-Station :-). Pool is cool :-)). Staf verry kindly.
Staff was extremely accommodating and answered all my questions about the area. Doorman offered tuk tuk rides to help me get around locally. This hotel is a few blocks walking distance from all the action and in a quieter location. Would strongly recommend.
The general manager Sid made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped inside the lobby. He went out of his way to make the check in process as smooth and quick as possible. We have become friends and he offered many tips to make our trip enjoyable. Thank you!!
Old hotel advertising great discounts however is only worth about 1000 to 1200 baht per night. Spacious room. Shower not effective.
Had no bathmat, so used hand towel, asked for a bathmat, hotel effectively refused saying to use the hand towel
Breakfast value was fair.
Overall disappointing experience.

OK, could give you good value if only....
OK, overall my 3-day stay went fine and, for what I paid, it was actually good value. I believe hotel can be improved a great deal simply by: (1) cleaning the filters of the air-conditioners (and giving some much needed basic maintenance; this would trigger enormous electricity saving); (2) adding decent coffee for breakfast (instant coffee is not adequate) and really what a coffee machine cost?? (3) add more male staff as they are far more friendlier (and far more approachable) than their gloomy looking female counterpart; (4) install more 'black-out' curtains than the existing (rather flimsy) ones.

Room was a good size. The maintenance was not the best. Airconditioning would freeze up and stop being cool. Bathroom sink tap leaking water when turned on. Had tried to refurnish sink, bath and bath by painting over original color. But paint had started to peel on bath and especially the toilet. The door handle came of in hand when closing door. I reported these problems to staff and they did rectify some. However these should have been fixed before occupancy.

Too bad so loud
This hotel has many Indian guests. One Indian man told me at breakfast that Indians talk loud - as one person was yelling into his cellphone. I like this hotel, but this visit was marred by very loud Indian conversations at all hours of the night. In one instance I knocked on the adjoining wall at 2 am, and they knocked back and still continued the loud talking. I called the front desk to complain, but there was no answer. Every night for 5 nights, there was loud talking in other areas on our floor - well past midnight - sometimes 2 or 4 am. The toilet was like in a public restroom - you need to hold it down for a long time and hope that it eventually flushes completely. It is not easy and does not always flush completely. Nice room except for the toilet. The tuk tuk is convenient and the driver Wut is a great asset to the hotel - it is always a pleasure to see him and he knows customer service very well.
The swimming pool was out of service: I stayed here for 5 days and everyday the staff said the pool will open tomorrow, never did.
The staff are unapologetic. The rooms are old and smelly, even the non smoking rooms smell. The air conditioner would often brake down, and stop working.
The photos are deceiving, the building is old and the lady that works during the day is especially rude. Also the free Tuk tuk service is not really free because the driver expects a tip.
