“The Sand Bar Cottage is an EXCELLENT choice. It is perfectly located and a great establishment. Chris the manager is incredibly personable and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was 5 stars. Stay here!”

“No attendant when we checked out. Please note that the doorknob to the bathroom for our room(201) was falling off. I hand tightened. Need either shades or bigger curtain in the window. Due to front door below our room, was slammed many times and during sleeping hours. We love the close proximity of the conviences, everything was in walking distance! We would stay here again! Loved your breakfast and loved This Way Cafe!!! Hope to see you again!!!”

“Wonderful ocean view from our balcony. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Laundry facilities on site that came in handy and was not expected. Located away from the busy downtown and still had a beautiful view and a family of deer that visited daily :). The cleaning staff were very outgoing and helpful. Wonderful place to stay!”

“Amazing stay in the Eden Suite. The room was one of the nicest we have we stayed in and we travel quite a bit. The view from it of the harbor was incredible and the patio was big enough to enjoy. The nightly piano player was fabulous in the lounge. From the kitchen, to the spacious bathroom with double sinks, to the fireplace… it was a great place and we will definitely be back. It is about a 10 minute walk to town and faster than the actual traffic. Thanks Bluenose for a great stay.”

“I don't recommend this hotel never. The reception women wasn't nice, and my wife and I couldn't sleep well because my room is loud noise of my door next front door . There is a most upsetting situation. And I was very cold in sleep because the heating didn't work at all night. The heating regulator did not work. It was 2am that I founded that the heating didn't work. I caught a runny nose next day and my trip was interrupted. I never recommend this hotel.”

“The location was great to walk to almost everything. Was able to take a trolley to the park for a tour which we would highly recommend. The room was very clean. Shower was great lots of pressure. The gifts that were left in the place was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend for anyone we know coming to Maine - bar harbor. ”
