“2nd time here so we like it. You can beat the location. We used to stay at the resort on wwst St but got tired of the noise and children running up and down the hallways. The hotel is super clean and the beds are super comfy. They serve a lovely complimentary breakfast. Dinner is comfort food standards but having the restaurant in house is convenient. Dinner is ok but do is most of the dining in Bar Harbor.”

“We stayed here due to cancelled flights, it’s a lovely property in the middle of Bar Harbor with lots of walkable areas to explore. Their front lawn is a popular gatherings spots for drinks and live music. Only issues was they wanted to kick our friends out of the lawn if they didn’t order a drink and the free breakfast is just muffins and juice.”

“What a perfect location, walkable to everything in town and 10 min to Acadia. Our room was spacious and clean. Would highly recommend! Oh and the blueberry pancakes, and scones are killer.”

“Parking lot is small, but the location is amazing and the staff was very friendly. Rooms were very clean and the sauna was a nice bonus after a day in Acadia.”

“The location was great to walk to almost everything. Was able to take a trolley to the park for a tour which we would highly recommend. The room was very clean. Shower was great lots of pressure. The gifts that were left in the place was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend for anyone we know coming to Maine - bar harbor. ”

“We love the staff at the property!!! Michelle at the front desk made us feel like part of the family. She made sure our every needs were fulfilled and always went out of her way to help us. Dannette is the encyclopedia of the area. She shared her knowledge of the surrounding harbors and we loved all the places off the beaten path she recommended. We normally wouldn’t stay at a motel, but we had a hard time to say goodbye at Anchorage Motel!”

“Overall a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable even though the hotel is a bit older. There was ample parking and a beautiful view. I would absolutely stay here again. I took off one star due to two factors. The towel bar fell off the wall in the bathroom. When I alerted the staff, they quickly reattached it while we were out for the day. But it immediately fell off again. The two ends of the towel bar were too far apart, so simply reattaching the fallen end into the same...

“I don't recommend this hotel never. The reception women wasn't nice, and my wife and I couldn't sleep well because my room is loud noise of my door next front door . There is a most upsetting situation. And I was very cold in sleep because the heating didn't work at all night. The heating regulator did not work. It was 2am that I founded that the heating didn't work. I caught a runny nose next day and my trip was interrupted. I never recommend this hotel.”

“Amazing property… Colonial style with amazingly clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a great view. The only problem is the floors and ceilings are very thin and poorly insulated for sound. We heard every foot stomp over the period of four days and all hours of the day and night. Unfortunately, there was nothing the staff could do, but they tried to be helpful. I would recommend staying in the newer building on the property, which is built with more modern construction techniques”
