Elsa’s was wonderful. I truly loved chatting with Gail in the living room, looking out at the sea, about the local area. Breakfast was delicious with more conversation with the other guests. Beats a motel any day.

Very nice inn run by a sweet lady who is very accommodating Nice rooms excellent breakfast Very quaint The only thing that needs to be improved is there was no waste basket in the room or bathroom and there needs to be bar of soap and shampoo in the bathroom

Room and inn were beautiful! Gail was a wonderful host! The breakfasts were very yummy!! The bed was pretty hard and there wasn’t air conditioning in our room which made sleeping uncomfortable in the warm weather.

We only booked this place for one night - actually by accident. It was a happy accident. I would have liked to have stayed a few more days. Very rustic , quiet and quaint. Thank you Gail for a lovely stay.

This is where you would want to go if you want to stay someplace quiet out of the main touristy area of Bar Harbor. The Inn is very cute like staying at your grandmother’s, it is across the street from Prospect Harbor. We rode in on a motorcycle in the rain from Bar Harbor and Gale was at the door to greet us with two dry towels. She reviewed the map of the Schoodic Peninsula gave us helpful tips and places where we could go to eat. The included breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day before heading out for site seeing. It’s about an hour to Mount Desert Island, but only a few minutes away from the Schoodic Peninsula, which is much less populated, and worth a visit.

Gail was informative when we arrived. Grounds need a bit of attention. Attention needs to made as to dusting of room furniture, floors and windowsill. Tasty breakfasts. Call to find out the details of your room. We were in Julie’s room on second floor with just a door separating us from another adjoining room. We could hear voices and their snoring kept me up all night.

Elsa's is a wonderful place to stay if you are traveling to Prospect Harbor. It is a quaint building with beautiful rooms. But what made our stay spectacular was Gail. She is absolutely amazing. She gave us lots of great ideas about sites to see during our visit. She makes delicious breakfasts. And she's just so much fun to talk to. We wanted to bring her home with us! We will definitely come back for another stay as soon as possible.

You get what you pay for. It was clean and decently furnished and the breakfast was good. Nothing gourmet but basic. The biggest problem is you could hear every conversation around you both next to you and above. At least it quieted down when you went to sleep. Gayle greeted us and while I think she was trying to be funny she was borderline rude when we asked a question about some of the trails she told us about. She kept responding as if our question was a dumb question. We were asking about the quality of the paths she was recommending and whether they were close to the cliffs and she kept saying something like it wouldn’t be too smart to go out on the cliff. Just a weird vibe. Fine for a night or two but don’t think I’d stay there again.
