"Overall, the hotel was lovely. The room was clean and had everything we needed, although if you need an iron you need to request the whole laundry service. The staff were so helpful and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It is in a quiet area near the river but hard to walk anywhere from it. Only a short drive to Alcacer do Sal. "What an amazing hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, our room was large, and very clean, but the real star of the show is the stunning castle itself. There are so many areas to explore. Sitting rooms, the chapel, a pool table room, and the outside pool area is from a fairytale. It’s like going back in time. We felt like royalty. 100% recommended."

"This is a house that has been converted to a hotel. I did not realize that there are not on-suite bathrooms and you must use the bathroom and shower down the hall which is hard with two small children and sometime there was a wait. There is also no AC and our room was on the side that the sun would bake in the afternoon which made our room hot all night as there was no cross breeze. "The location is a little remote but absolutely stunning and extremely quiet. Everything was very clean and the staff very welcoming. I wish we could have stayed a little longer but we had to be off early. Will definitely return if we are in the area again."
