We were at the end of our Panama/Costa Rica trip and had actually just decided to cut it short because I was starting to feel sick. But we had this last hike to try out and I was just hoping both that I would feel well enough and also that our car would be able to make it back on the very steep gravel road back from the parking spot (after almost getting stuck around Monteverde earlier on the trip). As we’ve been getting used to we were first to arrive so we had this awesome place completely to ourselves for a little while in the morning before other tourists started to drop in. It really felt like a fairytale. (Oh, and the car made it back okay!) #nature #costarica #centralamerica #waterfalls

"We had the most lovely vacation. It's even better in person. The views are incredible. They were so helpful and even helped us book excursions and a rental car. They were quick to respond anytime we had a question or concern. Best customer service. Washer and dryer worked great. The beach is nearby. There is a beautiful waterfall just at the end of the road. We had fun swimming in it. "

"The unique thing of this property was that it’s ALL outdoor living. Kitchen, living room everything is outside. Which is tough because bugs are abundant at night. The house offers bedrooms only inside and a small kitchenette. Buy mosquito coils ore you will get overwhelmed with bugs after 6pm when it gets dark. Pool was very nice. "

Ils nous ont donné la grande maison pour nous accommoder sans nous charger de frais supplémentaire , les enfants ont adoré ! Maison complète avec toutes les commodités, cuisine , laveuse sécheuse , terrasses , bbq ! Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute !"

"The villa was nicely decorated and newly remodeled, however there was a urine smell from the downstairs bathroom. We also went out for an evening swim, around 9pm, and were treated rudely by an older man who lived on the property. He acted like we were being inconsiderate, by swimming, and told us the pool closed at 10. It was before 10 when we were trying to swim! The man who let us in was kind and helpful, but it was our first night in Costa Rica, and the older man made our start a little...

The staff worked in unison which made our stay flawless. You wouldn't even have to leave the property if you didn't want to. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I haven't seen that glow from here in years. 100% recommend. Clean, safe, friendly and Ecotica treats you like family. You will not regret it. "The staff made this vacation stay exceptional for us. The kindness went beyond what we could’ve imagined. The food here was better than the restaurants we’ve tried outside of the hotel. And the morning sunrise views were immaculate. The free breakfast included with the stay was great! And the monkeys swinging from tree to tree while eating was definitely exciting to watch. I highly recommend this stay if you’re in the area. "

"Our stay at Hotel Lirio was truly unforgettable! While it’s not a five-star hotel, the service made it feel like it was. Donald and Nicole were very helpful they treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our trip special. The hotel has a charming hacienda-style vibe, with a beautiful pool right in the middle surrounded by lush gardens. My kids practically lived in the pool, and I loved relaxing nearby while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and the location was perfect for exploring the area while still feeling like a quiet retreat. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return!"
