"This was a very old property that had been altered to meet modern standards. Fairly basic but adequate. The accommodation was over a pub which inevitably was noisy but quiet after 11 pm There was no parking and no breakfast The staff were not visible but I was able to leave my luggage there after the 11am check out"

"Easy to find with on site parking. Check in was friendly and easy. The room was small but the beds weee comfortable and the shower was good too. A bit of. Noise from adjoining rooms. The bar staff were great although no Ouzo, 250 types of gin but no ouzo? But otherwise no issues. Evening meal was good with great staff as was breakfast. Not great value for money, breakfast was pricey."

"Room was good but a little noisy in the morning outside.We were also next to a squeaky fire door that was opened regularly early morning and late at night.Parking was good.Area was lovely."

"I booked this room for one night with my two young children to attend a sporting event nearby. The hotel is situated very near to the railway station and above a very noisy pub. The room itself is very basic which was fine for our one night stay and we appreciate there is little to be done about the outside noise however the window was broken we had to wedge it shut, this didnt help with the noise volume. The water was cold in the evening which meant cold showers before bed the room overall was very dusty/ not properly cleaned and the mugs for tea were dirty/unwashed. Overall the room lacked proper care and attention it was tired and in need of some repair some of the furniture was broken and in need of replacement bits were peeling off and the bathroom shelves were stained. The heating /towel rail also couldnt be switched on /off. The blind at the windo was also broken. We ended up going to our event the next day very tired as we were uncomfortable and kept awake for most of the night."

"Excellent, loved everything about our stay. Great position close to river and town centre. Very warm welcome, room 10 was really nice, large and decorated in a funky Darwin theme, with a great view of garden. Breakfast was really nice with a great choice, all staff really friendly and looked after us well."

"The whole hotel was generally a bit “tired”. It’s a beautiful building in a lovely location, but needs a refurbishment now. The staff were mainly helpful , breakfast wasn’t the best though . The spa needs some TLC also."
