“It is a very beautiful property with amazing views! The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning. The food was great and reasonably priced. (We have had a hard time with finding good food for a good price in the previous places we stayed. The beach was incredible! It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season.”

“Was a bit disappointed with our stay here. I’d read that the rooms were a bit dated, but it was rundown in aspects as well. The window in our bathroom had a broken hinge, the towels were old and tattered, the faucet discoloured, but the worst part was the bugs in the room. There was an ant (?) infestation - they’d burrowed a few holes into the bathroom doorframe and they were coming in and out of them and we found them in various places around the room. There were other various bugs we found...

“My family of 4 absolutely loved this property. One of the most unique places we have stayed. The craftsmanship of the boutique bungalows is excellent. High ceilings and very well appointed "A-Frame" individual rooms. The owner and staff are very friendly. After 3 days we felt like family. We loved the morning breakfast. Tina the Chef helped prepare fresh fruit, french toast, scrambled eggs every morning. She even made Pico De Gallo for me at my request! "Willie" the concierge/host was the best....

“Amazing place, great staff and they respond quickly thru What's App to anything you need. Would stay again, very private. You can't hear anything from the main drag. I'd recommend closing the blinds that face the sun when you leave for the day so it's not as hot when you return, you can ask the cleaning ladies that”

“Overall the place was great, great people and very well organized. The only beef I have is that the AC in the rooms were poor and the property needs an ATM. Otherwise, I loved my stay, the food and the pool!!!!”

“The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!”
