We really enjoyed our stay at Sahara Sunset in Benalmádena as a family of four with two children under five.
The hotel is in a great location, with lovely surroundings and plenty of restaurants and amenities within walking distance. We didn’t manage to visit the beach or marina during our stay, but there was plenty nearby to enjoy.
Our apartment was lovely, spacious and well equipped, and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. There were a few areas where cleanliness could have been improved, particularly the remote controls, which were quite dirty. However, this didn’t detract too much from our experience.
A real highlight was the Casah restaurant. The staff were absolutely lovely and made our visits really enjoyable. The food was good too. We had lunch there on our first day and breakfast on two mornings during our stay.
One thing worth noting for families travelling with pushchairs is that there isn’t step-free access around the apartment areas, which can make getting about a little tricky. There is, however, a lift from the lobby to the restaurant area.
Overall, we had a really lovely stay and would happily recommend Sahara Sunset, particularly to families looking for a comfortable, well-located base in Benalmádena.
