"Very nice Spa"

"We truly enjoyed our stay here. Our check-in and checkout was very easy. We came fairly late and missed breakfast. They were so kind to give us tea and some pastries before we left. We would definitely come back again thank you for being so gracious."

"Nice hotel, very quiet not many people staying at all, I guess due to Italian holidays. We stayed in a spa suite, there were four of us, the price was very good. The room, if I'm honest, getting a bit tired. Some floor tiles coming up, taps loose, sink cracked, toilet kept running. On the whole was quite nice, and I'm sure when it was new it was quite special. Beware, as a family going for swimming, it was €30 for 4 of us to swim and you need swimming hats (€20) quite steep to use the community pool really. Breakfast was very good. Location easily accessible and 15/20 mins from centre of Parma."

"The location itself is fantastic, beautiful views, in the middle of mountains, relaxed and family friendly. The location is easy enough to get to, sat nav had no trouble finding it and the mighty fiat 500 rental made it no problem. This is a farm stay, dont expect the Hilton and power showers, however do expect donkeys, horses, cows, dogs, cats and the occasional scorpion (they aren't particularly dangerous apparently) The hosts Matteo and Francesca are very attentive and friendly. The prices are fair, the food and drink is all fresh and local and is very nice. The locals come and visit for food and drink in the evenings as well which should tell you all you need to know. The pool was clean and attended to by Matteo every morning and the garden is nice for relaxing. We used this as a base for exploring the Cinque Terre, it takes about 45 minutes to an hour avoiding the toll roads to get to most places. We want to go back, and as we like going to new and different places this is quite rare, so thank you for our stay."

"A lovely taste of authentic Italy. We stay in so many chain hotels it was lovely to stay in a hotel that felt more homely and hasn't been over developed or stripped of it's character. Great location; a few short steps into town, great spacious family room, good selection at breakfast and fresh coffee to order available. Garden at breakfast time was a beautiful bonus. On site parking was essential for us and wasn't too expensive but street parking was also available. Friendly receptionists and very helpful too (excellent English!). Lunch and dinner available at on site restaurant; we ate once and it was delicious!"

"Since the booking was made for the same day, I wasn’t able to select a higher-priced option that includes free cancellation. I booked this hotel by mistake, as the drive turned out to be too long and we wouldn’t be able to arrive before check-in time. I understand this was my error, but I tried to cancel the reservation within 30 minutes of booking, and the system didn’t allow it. I also attempted to reschedule for a later date, but that request was declined. I contacted both the hotel and Hotels.com, but haven’t been able to find a resolution. I would really appreciate it if the hotel could be a bit more flexible in a situation like this."

"Perfect location to stop, rest, re-energise if travelling on A1 motorway. We stopped at this hotel for one night with my wife and my daughter. The hotel is very clean, good beds, efficient air conditioning, stuff members very kind. It would require some refurbishment but for the price we paid the ratio quality vs price it is very high. A lot of opportunity to taste good food around or dine in with a fixed menu at fixed price. Breakfast was superb!!! Home made cakes, very good cappuccino and espresso. If we will be around again, we know now where to stop. Thanks!! The hotel is not visible from the road and there is an old building when you turn to the Hotel direction/indication that may give a bad first impression, keep going the hotel is there around the corner. "

"Beautiful property, full of history and culture. Staff at Castello have been exceptional, friendly and attentive. 5/5 for cleanliness and food. Pool is quite clean and well equipped for relaxing. Would highly recommend :-)"
