Staff and service at this hotel is excellent, unfortunately the rooms are a bit dated and my room which was within the main building of this hotel was uncomfortably warm (even with the window open in early June).

I wonder which institution determines the number of stars because with regard to this hotel Fletcher Marijke in Bergen, people are quite wrong. The small room was known but a bathroom of very minimal size, no cold shower water, no balcony, no air conditioning or mechanical ventilation in the room, mattresses too soft, parking fee 7.50 per day, no swimming pool, you wonder where it is 4 star rating ? comes from. That will not only be based on the staff and breakfast because that was great !

Hotel was booked out. We had a reservation for four people for two nights. When we arrived there was no room available for us. We had to wait almost three hours for a solution. Solution was: We slept in a room with two small beds but were 4 People. NOW: Hotel won’t do any compensation. I paid for two nights in a family room. This is not acceptable.

There was mold at the wall in the wardrobe. I mentioned this to the lady at reception the next day when we left. The woman responsible for the household was also present there. She already knew this problem. Nevertheless, these rooms were rented to us! Luckily we were only there for one night.

Het hoofd gebouw ziet er van buiten mooi uit. Van binnen is het gedateerd. Vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt verzorgd. Staat van kamer gedateerd met onderhoud achterstand.

De accommodatie was verouderd en verwaarloosd, we zaten in losstaand gebouw met klemmende schuifdeuren, niet werkende kluis, loshangende bedlampjes die alleen uit en aangingen door de stekker eruit te trekken, douche met weinig water en afwisselend heel heet of heel koud water, doorgelegen bedmatrassen waardoor stijve rug bij opstaan, niet geisoleerde ramen en zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan...dit is een **** sterren hotel onwaardig!

Bij aankomst was er onzekerheid bij de receptie. Het leek alsof er stagiaires aan het werk waren. Er moesten nog wel extra betalingen worden gedaan, ondanks dat de reis al was voldaan o.a. het parkeren bij het hotel?!? In de kamer zat het glasvezelbehang los en was erg rafelig. De ligging Hotel was wel mooi in het centrum.
