We enjoyed our stay at the hotel finely. We did unfortunately have to change rooms due to a buzzing noise from the refrigeration system. Fortunately, this went easily and we were upgraded to one of the suites. It should be mentioned that the front of the hotel and restaurant 1937 both look fantastic but the experience towards and in the rooms is authentic and somewhat dated.

I had a great time staying at the Grand Hotel. Parking was a bit out of the norm for me, but I’d recommend calling ahead of time to get the parking address for their customers and go straight there. The roads were blocked to gain access to the front of the building. Overall, very friendly staff and a clean room. I would stay here again in the future.

Great Piece of Old World
Great location in the heart of Bergen op Zoom. The ream was very clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Getting into hotel with vehicle at 7.30pm was a real challenge. It took so long we couldn’t get a meal as kitchen shut at 9pm. Vicinity was beautiful.

Really good hotel. Room was excellent. Could do with a lounge area to relax in but plenty of bars close to property. Breakfast was poor but when we mentioned it the hotel refunded with out being asked.

Excellent location for the ‘Carnaval’
Excellent location and right in the thick of things for the annual ‘Carnaval’. Superb dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and generous breakfast. Staff were very helpful but we had to remind them about our ‘VIP’ benefits through Hotels.com

Great stay in Netherlands oldest hotel. Great rooms and lots of history inside . Great coffee maker and lots of food options right in front of the hotel. Friendly staff quiet room

Great to stay in a lovely town
Lovely hotel, big, had to carry my heavy case quite far. Breakfast was great, they also let me leave my car in the car park all day after checking out at no extra cost.

We stayed in two beautiful rooms, with the most comfortable beds we have had on our trip so far! We ordered dinner in our rooms and the meal was also excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location, clean and spacious room
Despite that the hotel is 622 years old, it is very well maintained and equipped. The room is spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located in the heart of Bergen Op Zoom, 8 minutes walk from train station. In the surroundings, there are many posh shops and restaurants with attractive architecture.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of an historic town
It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and I wanted to take my wife somewhere special, and this hotel really delivered! We had an amazing room (a junior suite 402), with high ceilings and beautiful white beams. The staff were also very helpful. The hotel is situated right in the middle of the town and there is plenty of choice regarding shops, bars and restaurants. I would totally recommend both the hotel and town to anyone looking for a weekend away!

I would recommend some dusting :-) but overall the room was fabulous and the location couldn't have been better. Wish we'd had more time in Bergen Op Zoom.

Fantastic!
Fantastic Hotel in a fantastic location. Stayed for a business trip however was able to take in the sights of the fabulous town. The restaurant food was outstanding while remaining reasonably priced, with excellent customer service throughout. Highly recommend this hotel for either a business or leisure trip.

Nice historical hotel.
Hotel is located in historical center of the city, approximately 700 m away from the train station. There are many restaurants around in few minutes walking distance. Hotel is silent no trafic noise , the only sound you hear is the bell of the clock tower . Hotel Staff is vey polite, breakfast is good. I recommend the hotel.
