View from the summit of Bettermhorn over Riederalp, Bettmeralp, the Great Aletsch Glacier and the Valais. The hike from the Bettmerhorn cable car station to the summit isn’t long but contains some narrow and exposed sections. Probably not a good idea if you are afraid of heights ... #aboveitall

This photo is a bit of special #adventure memory for me, as I took this photo the night after my birthday. While I was getting old, and thinking how small we are compared to the infinite time and scale of the universe, the glacier was saying it out loud with a rocking sound of cracking ice. Aletsch glacier - the longest glacier in the alps, but it shrinks every year, and it might disappear one day. I could have easily stayed there the whole night, but I had to go, as in the morning I had to run half marathon up and along the slopes of the glacier again.

For the view of the Great Aletsch Glacier ... and don't forget to look also in the other direction since during good weather, you'll see the Matterhorn !

Sometimes I think I know where I want to go, sometimes I don't. Life is a sea of opportunities, like this glacier. It is just important not to fall into crevasse, and thus better not to walk alone! But, there is always an #adventure ahead.
