"Our fourth stay at the Metropole in recent years.A privilege to stay in such a unique historic building,with yes a little patina around the edges.If you dont embrace the nostalgia then budget chain's are available.The staff here are so good,as is the breakfast and the pool and spa facility.A great location for roadtrips around mid Wales,and a huge car park."

"The room was in the attic with a very low ceiling, and we kept hitting our heads on it. The room was also extremely small, making it quite uncomfortable to stay in.
The shower water was cold, which was very disappointing.
On the positive side, the food was genuinely delicious and was the best part of our stay.
Overall, despite the good food, the room conditions and facilities made this a disappointing experience."
