“I'm glad that I read reviews before booking so I knew (more or less) what to expect. We were traveling for work and really just needed a couple of beds and a bathroom that was reasonably private, comfortable, and affordable for a night. There was a clear glass window from the bathroom to the bedroom space which was a bit awkward traveling with work associates, but there were a couple of "public" bathrooms in the mansion that we were able to use as needed. There is no front desk or staff around...

While it is an older hotel they are in the midst of renovations - it’s clean and friendly and the location cannot be beat in terms of putting you right into Mountain Brook village. I’m very glad we stayed here and I look forward to seeing what they do with the renovation.”
