"Great service from the moment we stepped into the lobby. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff that make the best of a building that has seen better days. Our room was clean, spacious and with a comfortable bed. Coffee and tea making facilities were in good working order and with plenty of good quality supplies of teabags, coffee sachets and sugar. When we needed more milk, we were given a good handful of pods, no questions asked. The dinner was very good, the dining room clean and the service attentive and pleasant. I hope that whoever runs this hotel manages to keep those levels of service while renovating and updating the building which is now well overdue. We would repeat the experience if we needed accommodation in that area again."

"Bedroom was spotless, bathroom too. We had family room which had 1 x double and 2 single beds. All comfy, with spare pillows and blankets available in room. Plenty towels for each of us and non slip shower mat available in bathroom. All staff we encountered at reception and breakfast were lovely and very helpful. Great breakfast, choice of cereals, porridge, juice, and cooked options, tea and coffee. It's not fancy, it is a good price for what you get and I'd be happy to stay here again."

"Excellent stay. Spacious, clean rooms, comfortable bed and quiet room even though there was a named storm with 70mph winds you wouldn't have had a clue until you looked out the window, also never heard any noise from other guests. Would definitely stay again."

"Good place to stay. It was clean and in a convenient location. The only thing that was a bit of a pain was the sound proofing. I believe people may live above floor two and they stayed up walking around until after midnight. Wouldn’t be a problem at all except there is no sound proofing in the room I was in. Other than that a fantastic place to stay and would recommend."
