"It was great once I actually got the apartment I had booked. They tried to fob me off with a much smaller room with no kitchen or washing machine. I decided to complain so actually got the apartment about 2pm the next day. There was a lot of apologies & a plate of delicious treats to compensate but to be honest I was really gutted to waste a whole day. "Five nights, and I barely left the property I’ve been to Bodrum before and planned to explore. Instead I stayed at Oku almost the entire time — that’s the most honest thing I can say about it. (I loved it that much and also the fact that it’s adults only!) Every room faces the sea, and the sunsets from the terrace are the best I’ve come across anywhere. The design is boho-Japandi and, being brand new, everything is immaculate. The gym is exceptional and I used it daily; the complimentary yoga and the daily activity calendar meant there was always something to join, which makes it unusually easy as a solo traveller. The food is the reason I stopped going out. Breakfast is among the best I’ve had at any hotel, with genuinely good artisanal coffee, and Chef Muhammed made dishes for me personally more than once. Sude behind the bar mixes the best cocktails on the property. Begum at breakfast greets you like she’s pleased you’re there. Yasin, Can Caglayan and Zafar run the restaurants at a level you’d expect from far older, more established hotels — all clearly from serious hospitality backgrounds, and all actively asking for feedback rather than waiting for it. One caveat: this is a stay-on-property resort, not a base for seeing Bodrum. I did one day out at Gigi and still preferred being back at Oku — which tells you what kind of place it is. Go knowing that."

"Hotel Review Great hotel, especially for a young adult clientele! The food was freshly prepared and offered a decent variety, with something for everyone. The rooms were modern, clean, and well maintained, and all the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind. The entertainment may not be to everyone’s taste, so I’d recommend planning a couple of evenings out to explore the area and enjoy some different options. There were also plenty of sunbeds available around the hotel, so there’s no need to rush out early to secure one. Overall, a great place for a fun and relaxing stay!"

"Overall the resort is very nice, and worth a visit, a few plus’s and minus as follows: We stayed in the hilltop rooms, a long walk from the facilities including 2 external lifts or multiple stairs, across a road bridge, this became quite tiresome. The room was fitted out as expected with good air conditioning, but the cleaning was sparse and we had to request a better clean at times. The buffet restaurant was excellent with a good range of food that changed daily and helpful staff on hand to assist where needed. The pool cafe was not so good, burgers and chips which appeared to be recycled daily so was not fresh and not much else apart from fruit which was fresh. The bars had a good choice of soft and alcoholic drinks and friendly helpful staff. The pool was great, plenty of loungers with good entertainment for everyone, we were the only English family so only one of the staff spoke good enough English to engage with us but that was fine. The evening entertainment was decent but repeated weekly so if your stay is longer there is nothing new. Overall it was a great holiday and we would recommend the resort but ask to be in the main complex."
