A beautiful old stone building that has been stylishly decorated to provide several en-suite guest rooms. We only stayed for one night but wish we’d had more time here. This family run accommodation has a very homely atmosphere and is in easy walking distance to the lake, the castle and the Basilica di Santa Cristina. Our host gave us information about what to see in the town and where to eat as well as great suggestions for stop offs on our onward destination.

Absolutely incredible—the owners were so nice and I arrived well past the checkout time because I didn't read the email carefully. They were so gracious and made a reservation for me at an incredible restaurant on the water and facilitated it because I don't speak english. Loved the room and the property.

We really loved our stay at Casale 1541! The family that runs the property is very helpful. The rooms are unique and well-equipped. The location is very close to the center of town and the lake. Really great restaurants in town too. Breakfast is also very nice.

Il casale ristrutturato con buon gusto, e uno stile moderno ma non troppo, si trova a pochi minuti dal centro di Bolsena e dal lago. Le camere sono comode, grandi e ben organizzate. I proprietari sono molto disponibili e cordiali. La colazione è buona, ma forse manca di prodotti tipici o, meglio, di prodotti fatti in casa (che rispecchierebbero più l'idea del casale).

The innkeepers are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of the lake and historic district where there are plenty of restaurants and small shops. We had a nice continental breakfast on the rear patio. We appreciated the onsite parking. The room was super clean and roomy, and we had enough space for our things. They actually had washcloths in the room, rare in European hotels. The matress was a bit firm, but okay for one night. The air conditioner was so quiet. My only criticism is that the stairwell and downstairs had an odd odor, similar to cat urine. However, our room did not smell at all. We would stay here again.
