“Lovely stay, the room was great and the location is beautiful. The only qualm we had was that we were in a room at the top of the house and so the ceiling dipped, which meant it was difficult to shower as the shower head was really low (I just fit underneath at 5”7). My partner also noticed it hadn’t been cleaned on top. May be noting on the booking that those rooms are not tall people friendly.”

“The stay was wonderful and we were treated with personal care. The only negative was that our room needed a little bit of repairs, given that the building is several hundred years old. Everything worked fine, but there were a few creaks in the floor that were in need of attention. The issue was limited to our room. The rest of the building appeared to be in great shape. By the time a reader sees this comment, the issue may have already been taken care of.”

“We enjoyed our stay so much. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend!”

“👍”

“Location is excellent as are the staff and breakfast. Car park is handy. Our room (WDM) was good too.”

“This was a great place to stay! The king-sized bed was a bonus, very comfortable. The location of the inn, just outside of the north gate made it a quiet place to sleep for those looking for a solid rest, while still being walking distance of the attractions and train station. The breakfast was a little “greasy spoon” style, but that’s likely pretty common for this type of place. Awesome location and quiet!”

“This is a lovely hotel. The staff were helpful throughout my stay.”

“A beautiful top-notch property in York. Centrally located a 4 minute walk from the train station and 8/9 minute walk to York Minster and old town York. Plenty of stores and eating facilities all within walking distance. The hotel itself and attentive staff plus very spacious and well appointed rooms made our stay a real pleasure. Definitely a 5 star plus!!”

“아주 별로였어요. 체크인할 때도 친절하지 않았고 방도 더럽고.. 다시는 방문하고 싶지 않네요. ”

“Decent place to stay, just a little more care on the upkeep of the rooms wouldn’t go a miss.”

“Historic building directly across from the Yorkminster. In the heart of the action and easy walk from train station. Comfortable room with old inn feel to main floor pub and restaurant. Excellent outdoor patio restaurant (depending on weather).”
