This property has a unique decor. Floors were not the best though. Breakfast wasn't the best. There was jam, bread and a croissant with coffee/tea.
My stay lasted two days and the sign in the room says the room is cleaned for stays longer than a day, and if you leave before 11AM for that day. Well, I made sure to comply with the leave time, as i wanted my room cleaned (I choose this BnB in part because they said they offered daily cleanings). I was surprised to find the room untouched upon return during the evening. I immediately raised the issue with Owner who told me that I had requested my room not be cleaned that day. According to her, I had responded to a question from her assistant/maid that I didn't want any service that day. Her maid, who I only met at breakfast, speaks very good English, so it's not a case of lost in translation. I had no discussion with the maid about service or room cleaning. Owner advised that this was strange, since the maid had been working for her for quite a while. I reaffirmed to the owner that I had left in time, and had NO discussions with the assistant, so whether service should have been performed wasn't in question. The owner's response was to 'apologize', saying "She told me she asked you (if I wanted room cleaned), I am really sorry IF she didn't". That was the WORST part of the exchange as I had affirmed multiple times there was no discussion. I thought it was poor to call a customer potentially dishonest. Worst BnB stay ever.
