Bar is nicely laid out and decorated with good range of spirits. Reception and bar staff friendly and helpful. No breakfast on weekdays due to kitchen refurb. Think that applies to lunches and dinner on all days. Noise from music in nightclub in basement does come through into ground floor although we were warned of this before hand and reception gave us bedrooms on 3rd floor to avoid disturbance.

Room is usually clean but in the hotel s.ells old, old build8ng and old furniture. Staff was ok, standarf but the girl gave me a single bed wich is strange they have a bed and not a double bed in a big room, a siglw bed nobody use this days. No bich view from the room. First time i went there they offered a double bed, room was higher floor, and could see the sea. Coffee in the room . In eirope many new hotels this is old style like i went 200 years in time.

The hotel was rat old fashioned in that was still much of the original wooden staircase etc but it was clean and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and well lit. The only downside of our one night stay was the fact that altogether it generated 23 emails either from Expedia itself or from the hotel which was tiresome.

The receptionist staff member called Bee was very helpful. She helped me sign in on my phone and with the wireless Internet. I had a problem with the shower, she looked at it and straight away organised another room for me. A very professional member of staff. Couldn't fault her .

check in was straight forward though you will need to pay £15.00 to park which is not the end of the world parking is secure bedroom was big only a short walk to the pier and beach also there is live entertainment friday and saturday currently which we enjoyed benefits of being a resident overall a great expereince would recommend

Reasonable value all round but could do with modernising a tad. The antique hair dryer created a horrible burning smell. Other than that the room came with everything you’d need or expect. Pillows I found horrendously uncomfortable. Overall ok, room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. £15 for parking is a bit of a liberty.

Hotel Review The hotel’s location is excellent, very close to the beach and train station. The room was also a good size and comfortable enough for two adults and two children. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was very disappointing. The carpet had a strong, unpleasant smell, and the curtains were extremely dirty and clearly in need of cleaning. The biggest disappointment, however, was the lack of basic facilities. In the 21st century, it is difficult to understand why there is no fridge in the room and no breakfast available, especially when paying nearly £242 per night. At that price, I would expect much better cleanliness and at least basic facilities such as a fridge and breakfast options. Overall, the location and room size were good, but the poor cleanliness and lack of basic amenities made the stay very disappointing and, in my opinion, poor value for money.

Beautiful hotel, would recommend staying. Close to Bournemouth Beach and shopping areas, well served by bus route. Hotel has wine bar underneath which closes at 2.00am / 3.00am and club next door, which closes about same time. Would have preferred A/C in room instead of fan, but I'm assuming as a listed building might not be logistically possible. A mini fridge would have been nice as well. I was told by reception that bedroom door locks automatically once inside the bedroom. I would still have preferred a lock that I could use to manually lock the door. I had a single room, which could quite easily be used for a couple. The shower stall was small, left me feeling clausaphobic Unfortunately the bed wasn't the best for me. I felt like I was about to roll off the edge several times, even when I slept in the middle of the bed. Thank you
