Room was very nice, easy to find, and right on the battlefield so great for a history enthusiast. Breakfast was slightly pricey at €17 for a small buffet, but dinner at the restaurant was lovely.

Perfectly situated for a tour of the Waterloo battlefield or, as in my case, a number of self-guided walks. My room was large enough for my needs and en-suite. The bathroom was a bit old fashioned and could do with some renovation. The shower is over the bath. First time I’ve had a shower curtain for a while! The connected Maximus restaurant, which serves both breakfast and dinner (and lunch also if you want it) is very good, food was excellent and beer was good!

Check in was smooth and professional by Damien. Parking on site. Walkable distance to some of the battlefield sites. Short walk to shops or easy to drive as well. Our room was a studio attic style. On the small side but fine for one night. Dinner was exceptional and chef Elysses and Aurelie served up the best steak and desserts we have ever had. Dinner service by Damien was also exceptional..we were well looked after. Museum were excellent. We bought the 1815 pass which was good value. More than happy with Hotel 1815.

Fantastic location to visit battlefield -situated right on the point where Wellington commanded the victorious allied army - cannot be beaten. Stayed here 8 eight years ago and in Set 2023. The Hotel rooms are very basic and starting to show their age. 15 Euro's for a continental breakfast was a bit expensive. However saying that if I were to visit the battlefield again this would be my first choice

The bedroom was very small - could barely get around the bed to the toilet !.And although the decor in the bedroom was ok , and the bed & linen were fine,the corridors, and outside etc were looking a bit shabby Breakfast was very poor for the 15 euros they changed each. Wifi was good & nice to be able to watch Amazon Very convenient for the Waterloo museum and plenty of private parking.

The hotel location next to the Waterloo battlefield is unparalleled. My only comment is the hotel and room had no air conditioning. The room faced south and therefore no relief from the sun during the recent European heat wave. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good and I recommend it.

Easy check in. No a/c and the fan they gave us was broken but I should've confirmed about a/c before booking. We were there in a heat wave and it was so desperately hot in our room. Bathroom doors are like wild west saloon doors so they don't actually shut all the way. But the vibe in the place is good and you cannot beat the location. Parking was a bit challenging with the restaurant on site but I'm not sorry I chose it.

Great hotel located on Waterloo battlefield, at Wellington’s crossroads, and 300 meters from Lions Mound. Ultra quiet and modern - great breakfast and superb innkeeper.

You cant get any closer to the Waterloo battlefield. Just look out the window of your room as this hotel is located on the a tual battlefield. Highly recommended.
