"Enjoyable nights stay in Brighton at The Oriental. Welcoming and friendly owners and staff who couldn't have done more to make you feel comfortable. Complimentary soft and hot drinks offered throughout our stay. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Service at breakfast was also very good. Will be happy to stay again. "

"Great location for Brighton. Overlooked the Marina and on an easy bus route into the city. Loads of bistros and other foodie places very close at reasonable prices. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly. Room was tight, but as this was a short stay, not an issue. Overall, very pleased with this stay"

"We’ve stayed at the Old Ship several times, as it tends to be the best value for money. We love the central sea front location (and are prepared to put up with a bit of city noise… the complimentary ear plugs are a nice touch), sea views are well worth paying a bit extra for, and we even enjoy the 100 year old lift …. on the occasional time it arrives before we opt for the stairs instead (it is described optimistically as ‘a bit slow’). Very pleasant staff too. Looking forward to our next stay. "

"Front desk staff were good. We opted for no housekeeping but realized we needed more milk, face cloths (none there from start), white sugar, tea & coffee. No phone number to contact front staff, only a QR code. So I texted them via the QR code. No answer/response. Everytime we passed the front desk they were overwhelmed with people checking in etc. There was a conference going on. Disappointed that only the QR code or going in person was the way to contact them. Face cloths should always be...

"Hotel was nice and comfortable, not far from centre, staff very freindly & helpful, didnt like everywhere the floors creaking and could here them up & done in the room above ! Think price a bit hi for where it is,"
