โCharacter Inn made famous in a book by Daphne DuMaurier. Lots of atmosphere and history of the times.
Splendid room in the newish annex, comfortable bed, great food and a perfect spot to break our journey.

โAbsolutely beautiful hotel in the old jail, so many of the original features with a modern feel. Breakfast was incredible, best eggs Benedict Iโve ever had and the continental selection was amazing. โ
โWe got engaged in Boscastle at the start of July and so this hotel will always be special, but itโs special regardless. Beautiful building, exceptional food, lovely pub atmosphere, helpful staff. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade and the room was beautiful - huge bed, lovely en suite and high-beamed ceilings. The breakfast is included and itโs exceptional - best scrambled eggs Iโve had in years. Couldnโt rate more highly!โ
โI wanted to check in fast and visit an important attraction before they closed. The reception lady indicated that by law she had to check us in right away and show us the room. I asked if I could leave my bags in the lobby and check in after and she said, "If I did that she could not grantee she could check us in." because she would be too busy. I was thinking that she had no choice in the matter to do so and if I had arrived at 8pm she would have to check me in if she liked it or not. ??โ
โA lovely room in a converted stone building, separate from the main pub. Comfortable king-size bed and a small but adequate bathroom with an excellent rainfall shower. The only snag was the too-heavy duvet; we boiled on the first night! The second night we took the cover off it & slept under that. Good breakfast but we would have preferred to be able to eat at 8.30 instead of 9am.โ
โLovely B&B. We were extremely pleased with our stay here. We were in a cozy double room with an en-suite. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The couple running the hotel were friendly and exceptionally hospitable. The included full English breakfast is fantastic. Would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking of staying here. The value for money is fantastic. It is a perfect location to explore Cornwall!โ
โRoom was clean and tidy, food was very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Only criticism was that the room was very warm and no air con, luckily we were in a first floor room so we kept the windows open all nightโ
โLovely large room with lots of storage options - clearly had a recent upgrade. The staff and food are very good - could do with some fruit at breakfast though.โ
โTrรจs bon sรฉjour dans cet hรดtel. Personnel sympathique. Grande chambre bien รฉquipรฉe. Belle salle de bain avec toilettes sรฉparรฉs.
Bon dรฎner au restaurant, plats copieux et prix corrects mais salle assez bruyante.
Excellent petit dรฉjeuner buffet.
Grand parking.โ
โLoved find! We stayed one night in the cottage, which has a great living/dining area with double bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The pub is characterful, contrasted by the dining area which is quite a large, open modern addition. The breakfast was very good. We arrived at 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon, very hungry and I was a little disappointed to find that the only food left available for us would be fish and chips, as everything else had run out (restaurant closes at 5 on Sunday), but...
โA lovely old property , steeped in history. Very unique! Wonderful friendly welcome , made to feel very special
On arrival. Breakfast was lovely . Very easy parking . The bed was super comfy ! Highly recommended.โ
โFood was excellent. Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable with all the usual amenities. Itโs even dog friendly if you wanted to bring your petโ
โWe've come out for my 30th had a meal in the restaurant. The staff were lovely the food delicious and they even sang to me for my birthday ! Our check in was fab they were very laid back as we were worried about timings because we had a gin tasting event we were going to first. The staff put us as ease when we spoke to them. We did get confused where to park so parked up the road instead of the car park as our satnav took us to the wrong side of the building. How ever the car is fine parked...
