"Was offered a free upgrade to the newer/modern building but after viewing both chose the older section. Room 17. Absolutely stunning view over the rain forest to the Auckland city and downtown. Very spacious living area. Nice spa. It was dated and worn as we were told so at reception (and offered the free upgrade) but we needed the kitchenette and couldn't bypass that view. Felt like a tree house. The other units in that building didn't have the view. Parking was tight but convenient. Didn't try the pool as it was too cool of a day. Great view there though. Did not not try the restaurant either although the menu looked great and the there view stunning."

"Parking was easy and safe, we found the place without a problem. There was a great dumpling house and tea shop down the road so dinner was sorted! We got their late and the owner had contacted us so we knew where the key was etc but we didn’t have the wifi password, and when we rang we didn’t get an answer. The next day we also had to leave early and despite ringing the bell couldn’t speak to anyone then either. The place overall was lovely, clean and safe which are main priorities but a key drop box or wifi password would’ve have just sealed the deal. We would probably stay again if we knew we were coming during reception hours."

"Unfortunately we had to depart 2 days into a 5 day planned staycation as my 92 year-old mum became quite ill. At her age we needed to get her home quickly. Despite the fact that this was beyond our control, the Cordis Hotel refused our request for a refund for the remaining days, meaning we were out $1200. My poor mum was so upset. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again in future. I prefer properties where they care more about the well-being of guests versus money."

"The room was clean and amenities were fine. The towels weren’t really clean and there were stains on some of them. It was cool that there was Netflix on the TV. I was expecting a bit more for the price that I paid. Overall it was an average experience. "

"This is fine if you’re a college student on a major budget and don’t care about really dusty and musty rooms. The smell in the room was horrible. The bed was comfortable and ok but I didn’t feel safe at all (just a tiny rusty lock with a key that didn’t even work) to lock the latch on the sliding door. TV doesn’t work. No towels provided. Glad I only spent a quick night there. "

"Great stay. Rooms were clean and serviced well. Facilities were a little on the older side but decent for the price. The listing said there was access to an off-sire gym but this was confirmed as false by the reception staff upon check-in. Location was also nice, walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants not too far. Parking was full but street parking from 6pm to 8am is free so worked out fine for me. "

"Owner Brian was fantastic and very friendly! we stayed in the room with the garden view and king bed . Doors open to the patio was lovely! Felt very comfortable and highly recommend . "
