Impressive hotel, very eclectic and fun in a funky way. Wonderfully decorated, rooms are spacious but cozy and comfortable. nice amenities, great staff and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.
absolutely amazing design and maintenance of the room and the whole hotel overall. Attention to the details and great service. Beautiful place to stay!
Beautiful, spacious rooms with a really interesting history at a reasonable price and in a convenient location. The restaurant downstairs is fabulous too. What more can you ask for?
I had an exceptional stay at Brody House. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The hotel's location was convenient, making it easy to explore the city. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Beautiful old property, spacious room with high ceilings. A real feel of older Budapest. Lovely courtyard with a restaurant (not part of hotel) that was nice for coffee or breakfast. However, not for everyone. No elevator and no TV. Our only complaint was the description of the room is misleading. The Deluxe 1 bedroom suite showed photos of a bedroom with separate living room. It was a bedroom only with the living area as a shared common area. The couple who shared the space took all the coffee pods and teabags daily, so we were never able to use their nice coffee machine. Reception hours limited and no one downstairs. .

This is a truly special place. It is very quiet so May not be for everyone. I thought the common areas would be open in the evening to maybe chat to other guests but they weren’t. Food at cafe operating from the hotel is really good and I ate there most mornings for ease. I think a discount could be offered for hotel
Residents although I know it’s a separate business. Beautiful rooms went beyond my expectations and I would really recommend this beautiful place. I was delayed a day because of a cancelled flight and the staff were really friendly about that.
This hotel is an absolute gem. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the airport bus stop. Very walkable to many locations or we easily used Uber for places further. The style and atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. Felt so comfortable here. The food for breakfast is also incredible.
Review for Brody House, Budapest:
“Staying at Brody House felt more like visiting a friend’s art-filled loft than a typical hotel. Located in Budapest’s Palace Quarter, this boutique gem combines vintage charm with eclectic modern art, creating a truly unique atmosphere. Each room is individually themed, featuring artworks by local and international artists, which gives each space its own personality. The honesty bar, communal areas filled with quirky decor, and regular cultural events make Brody House feel lively and creative. It’s perfect for anyone looking for an artistic, welcoming place to stay. Highly recommend for those wanting a unique and memorable experience in Budapest!”
The place is gorgeous but unfortunately my stay had some issues with the cleanliness and service. I checked in just before 6pm and realised that the toilet had not been cleaned since previous guests or longer time, and there was strong smell. I went to inform the person in the reception and first they said that they can’t do anything as the cleaner is not present anymore. I said it’s uncomfortable and the receptionist came to the room to check it, and eventually brought the toilet cleaning deterigent and poured it in but I needed to clean the toilet myself. I booked this place for the great rating and reviews but I’m not sure if I can really recommend it, as I think it is a basic requirement to have a clean toilet in a hotel room at this price point, and if there is an issue I’d appreciate the staff to take care of it instead of saying that they cannot do anything and the guest needs to clean it themselves.
Unfortunate happening as otherwise I think that the hotel looks great (especially for art lovers) and the room was beautiful. I just think that the service could be improved as I was not even compensated for the issue in any way even if I brought it up to another staff member the day after when checking out. The staff just said they are sorry to hear about the issue but they seemed very uncomfortable, which I didn’t really understand as it is likely not their fault if the toilet is not clean but they could definitely help in making the guest feel more comfortable.
Absolutely loved our stay here. The room was a great size with a perfect layout, very clean and warm. The yoga mat was a great touch and used every day. The honesty mini bar (not that we used it) was a great idea and well stocked. It felt very comfortable. Oo and one of the best things - no TV in the room! Love that! The staff were great and very friendly, spoke perfect English and the breakfast in their cafe is superb. Loved it. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellente adresse. Accueil très sympathique et chaleureux. TB situé en cohérence avec l’esprit de l’hotel, dans un quartier de galeries etc... Deco top !
The building is amazing. Very grand. The decor unique and laid back.

The room was lovely but we had multiple issues including a low battery fire alarm going off all of our first night, no bar open after 10pm even though it’s still advertised as 24 hour and worst of all getting charged again for the stay despite paying with Expedia and explaining all of this to the hotel
Really helpful friendly staff. Good location. Quirky art and decoration. Breakfast good lignt buffett bread could have been more intersting and a more efficent toaster
This is such a unique place to stay. It feels like you are staying in an old palace. A little careworn but charming and artistic decor. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and quiet, each uniquely designed and decorated, and the location is excellent. The staff were so helpful and friendly. And the breakfast which is included is substantial and delicious. Would stay here again. Only factor to consider is that there are quite a lot of stairs to the rooms on the top floor.
The hotel is funkily decorated, and the location is convenient. Elderly folks should be forewarned that it takes almost 90 steps to climb to the reception desk (no elevator). The service was friendly and good.
