InterContinental Budapest by IHG

InterContinental Budapest by IHG

8/10 Good
"Views from river view rooms were exceptional. However, the noise from boats and local establishments was an issue. We were on the 4th floor and toyed with asking to be moved to a Higher floor, however the staff on reception at checkin were slow and not at all helpful, so we decided to put up with it. Turning the fan on the air con up did the trick. Service in the bar was slow, and the staff at breakfast were also slow, so quite often they ran out of plates, glasses, tea pot lids! As well as some of the hot food. So one had to be patient. I knew they did champagne at breakfast but couldn’t locate it and when I asked they simply pointed Me in the direction of where it should be. It was not there and the two ladies at the breakfast reception just carried on their conversation. So overall if you appreciate good service, this isn’t the place for you. However if you want an awesome view of the Buda landscape along the river then ask for a river view room on as high a floor as you can get."
