really nice staff and property is very well kept. The people at the SPA are one of the best I have experienced in Bali. Nice evening dinner / a drink with band playing on the beach is icing on the cake. Over all would love to be at this property sometime soon
A pricier stay in the Lovina area but well worth it. I will never stay anywhere else in Lovina. The staff were great and we loved the pools, buffet breakfast, and use of the shuttle. Thank you!
Fantastic stay. Extended an extra night. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet when they had it was very good. Some days it was a la carte.
Very clean and quick housekeeping. Bathrooms were open to the air. Easy access to the private beach area. Beautiful view of the sunset
Beautiful gave us an upgrade into the deluxe suite which had a plunge pool a little dirty nice property well maintained and amazing staff beach area is a little flat but nice
Wonderful little home with private swimming pool on top of the bigger swimming pool and the black beach. A little older but perfectly maintained and clean.
This was a quaint, quiet hotel located right on the beach. The staff were all amazingly friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The food was pretty good as well. I had an amazing Thai massage at the spa too! It was a very relaxing place a little far out of town but they provide transportation. If you are looking for a more youthful place I might recommend somewhere further in town. I would stay again because of service and tranquility.
This was an extraordinary experience in large measure because of the staff. At every turn they went out of their way to be sure that we had everything that we needed and wanted with gracious, warm hospitality that could serve as a model for other resorts. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. A beautiful pool. A shuttle to take you into “town” and to other restaurants. But it was the staff that truly made this a fabulous stay
We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The people were very nice and polite. The were always trying to make us satisfied.
The upgrade we had made it very special.
We had a massage by professional and relaxed. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of different foods. The pool was very clean and by the beach. The view was fantastic!!! Thanks to everyone at Lovina. We had the room B05.
The Lovina continues to be a great hotel. All staff are friendly and helpful and it was lovely to be greeted with a smile every time we met a member of the team. Our suite was perfect once again. The walking track to the town area is a great addition since our last stay and we loved the nightly music on the beach at dinner. Having the shuttle service available was an added bonus. Breakfast was great- again we were looked after by attentive, happy staff. We look forward to visiting again.
Very nice property. A little bit of an ant problem. I put candy on the floor to keep the ants busy and less interested in their ant road that went over the bed. Very nice property, very friendly staff. Gym hours from 9-5 are a little odd and limiting. Restaurant by the beach has a decent enough sized burger, not the usual full bun slider sized patty you often get in Bali. Would stay there again.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Unfortunately my ‘upgraded’ room with private pool was very dated and literally crawling with caterpillars. There were a number of flies in the room and I found 2 dead cockroaches in the bathroom. I had breakfast there once and it was awful. No real fruit juice, just diluted drinks and coffee was poor, it was also expensive. The beach front is tiny and not as it appears on the photographs. The staff however were lovely and the location was a 5 minute walk to the Main Street where there were good restaurants. A large resort that is not as good as I thought it would be based on the reviews I had read.
Amazing service, both the hotel and the seaside restaurant. The front desk seemed truly interested if we had a good time and welcomed us back. I do want to go back.
Two small issues. Don't folow Google maps to get there. It takes you just to the eastern edge of the property, not the entrance. Second. The beds were kind of hard. But we had the garden rooms and they were spacious and the grounds are beautiful.
The Lovina didn’t disappoint. It was clean, relaxing and beautiful. We spent 3N4D and wished we had stayed longer. So luxurious. The staff can’t do enough for you. The free shuttle was a nice surprise. So were the free bike rentals. The buffet breakfast was delicious.
We had a room that over looked the rice fields and I loved it. Coffee in the morning on our patio looking at rice fields and mountains. Life is good.
The only reason I gave a 4 to surrounding area was because there are 3 VERY aggressive female beach sellers. They are not aggressive as in threatening, however, they will not leave you alone when you are sitting on the beach or sitting at the tables near the beach. They will harass you and won’t take no for an answer.
I felt that the hotel staff should have asked them to leave and wait at the edge of resort so hotel patrons can approach them if they want. They would interrupt our lunch and when sitting having a drink looking at the ocean. It did put a bit of a damper on our experience.
Over all I would encourage you to book this hotel. The staff and facilities were spectacular

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I really really wanted to love this property. I had chosen it very carefully for my recent birthday trip to Bali.
The reviews here raved so much about the hotel, I think my expectations were high.
The staff were kind and attentive, and very friendly. The vibe of the area and the hotel beachfront from sunset is really beautiful. The grounds are immaculately kept and the gardens are beautiful.
We were offered an upgraded room which we declined, but were happy with our garden room. It was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the shuttle that was ready at a moment's notice. We also easily found a local Balinese "captain" to take us on the dolphin tour (around 10am and heaps of dolphins) and snorkeling too.
Be aware that the beach is not a swimming beach, but both resort pools are clean and pretty. There is really nothing "nice" about lying on the beach - the atmosphere comes at night.
What I was really disappointed with was the quality of the breakfast buffet. There were a few nice options, but in general, compared to other similarly priced hotels in Bali, this breakfast is very sub par. And to clarify, the location is not on the beach - upstairs you can see rice fields which is pretty - but downstairs is very average.
This resort is probably the best in Lovina, and there are so many nice elements to it, but in general, for what we experienced, it's overpriced compared to other places we have stayed in Bali.

Firstly I rarely leave reviews generally. The Lovina is a good hotel apart from two main issues.
I stayed in a standard room F17 supposedly garden room which over looked a wet rice type field which wasn’t exactly a garden vista.
Never the less I had an issue with mosquitos in the room. Unfortunately there is no anti mosquito screening around the bed. So having had enough of being dived bombed by mosquitos in bed. I gave up in the early hours of the morning exacerbated and took positive action. This involved leaving the bedroom to sleep on the bathroom floor as this area was mosquito free. I took the duvet cover off the bed and slept on the floor in the bath room using the cover as mattress and a towel has a sheet.
At least in the bathroom with the door closed I was mosquito free. Down side of this no a/c in the bathroom so it gets a bit hot with the bathroom door closed to the bedroom.A/c unit is in the bedroom. I reported this issue to the front desk in the morning in the hope other guests would not have a similar experience.
The only other issue was that breakfast was definitely not up to much in quality, taste or the inability of the cooking team to cook scrambled eggs properly unless you enjoy super runny undercooked scrambled eggs.
Positives good beach location, the room was clean and drinking water dispensers were available in the garden area.
I intended to stay more ham one night however after my experience I checked out and changed to another hotel in Lovina.
Hotel food was really nice which was unexpected for large resort. Stadf were lovely. Villa was beautiful. Lovina itself was quiet and we had bad weather.
