"Staff were extremely friendly, and my dinner the evening I arrived was delicious. I don't eat breakfast but the coffee was good. The setting of this place is just beautiful, I was sad to only be staying the one night. "

"Excellent location in centre of Buxton and helpfulness of staff. Very good breakfast and good value for money overall. Ancient and very temperamental lift meant that most users did not understand its quirks, and so it was often left on the wrong floor. This would cause problems for those having difficulty with stairs. Also modern bathroom had inadequate grab handles in the shower."
