Bugsworth Basin. The restoration of this historically important canal basin complex took place over many years and was plagued by problems with leaks in the canal bed before finally being reopened. In this 1981 view work on many of the remaining structures was well advanced although plenty remained to be done before the basin could be rewatered. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the shower and bathroom facilities were exceptional. The only minor negative was that I could hear the building's air-con/heating system all night which was very loud. I did not mention it as I was only staying for one night

Attentive friendly staff (a very big plus point - particulatly Keiron), lovely building and a nice big room that was clean (not perfect but very much acceptable) and had excellent facilities. Overall a good value for money stay and we would stay again.
