"We had a short stay at the Sanbonani Resort Hotel with our family. The rooms were large and quiet. The staff were friendly and we had the evening buffet which was good value. For our trips to Kruger it proved to be a good location and excellent value."

"The picture showing the pool has NO water in it.
If you book breakfast you won’t get any
Power went off for 2 days, after 18 hrs they managed to get a generator, that they ran for 2.5 hrs didn’t communicate that they would turn it off at 9.10pm, so no air con charging phones or camera for safaris, can’t even make a cup of tea. Next day it was off all day again till about 6pm. Couldn’t communicate anything. They did not speak/ or would not speak English. Yet anything you asked for they understood...

"Mooie lodge met fantastische uitzicht.
Weg er naar toe is te adviseren met een kleine SUV.
Kamer was groot en diner was lekker! Enkel ontbijt was een beetje aan de zwakke kant."

"This is a nice property near Phabeni gate of Kruger National Park, which is just a 6 minute drive. Akani is a great host and if you need anything he will bend over backwards to help! You can park right next to your chalet, which is very helpful. - I personally hate lodges where you have to park a distance away! - There is a pub nearby that gets noisy at times, but if you run a fan it drowns out the noise. The property is very close to the main road and is very safe! "

"Casa do Sol was quiet compared to our previous stays here but this didn't stop the staff doing everything they could to make our stay agreeable.
Of particular note was the high standard of the food which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Go now and enjoy as the hotel will soon be busy again.
A great place to stay before you go into Kruger."

"The property was really clean and had good amount of towel plates cutleey etc. the major issue we had was that the roof was leaking everywhere in most rooms. One of the beds was wet and we slept with water dripping next to us the enter night. When I raised it with the reception, there was no apology for the inconvenience but only stating that it was the thatched roof. If they know about the leaks, they should maintain the roof."

"Lovely venue with excellent service from the owners. The venue is an absolute unique experience on a working avocado farm and macadamia nut farm. This venue is lovely off the beaten track, so plan stay there and enjoy the excellent meals and the quiet."

Absolutely great ambience and convenient location. Bed and bath linens were great. Bed was comfortable. Outdoor seating was fantastic for evening wine and morning coffee.
Room 2 and 3 back garden and quiet with earplugs at night. Saloon restaurant had a nice prix fix dinner with a few options for each course 195-245 I believe

I would qualify everything about this place with exceptional. I wanted to thank each staff and copied down the names of our night and morning receptionists and gardener/manager, but lost the paper all with my car registration. Go figure.
But the place is first rate with budget cost. The TV had hundreds of channels. The king size bed is comfortable. Wifi is strong. Beautiful room decor and spacious. No details overlooked. We came out of 5 days of stalking animals/birds in Kruger. It's perfect...

We loved our stay with Penny at Thulamela. This is a great place to base yourself if you are doing the Panorama Route or heading into Kruger. We stayed for 3 nights and didn't regret a moment. Breakfast on the porch was incredible and we slept better than we had in a long time. Wifi is available only near the reception area, but Penny was so kind as to put a table and chair out for my husband to use when he needed to work. What an incredible host and amazing stay. We highly recommend you stay...
