The room was very clean and parking although on the street was easily available and safe. It is a very beautiful heritage building with lots of character and extremely friendly staff. The food was excellent and the ambiance of the dining room and patio were very relaxing. The location was beautiful and central to what we required. The park across the street was a bonus.

Only issues we had were the room didn’t have a mini fridge. Not the end of the world but is nice to keep some things in. The parking is street parking but the area is quiet and safe. The property itself is very nice and unique. It has charm and some class to it.

A really interesting and unique history. The dning area and breakfast setup were well done. Our room (211) has an extremely small footprint. The toilet is claustrophobic. Only 12 rooms so be carefull what you book.

We booked this Boutique Inn for our son who was visiting from out of town and we were wanting something quiet and a little different. Even though there was a wedding that was booked at the INN on his first night, the actual rooms were very quiet and meticulous; the toilet and shower look to have been upgraded recently. All staff were very helpful and seemed to have a sense of pride in working here. We had the opportunity to view this very special place on two previous occasions - once for lunch and another time for dinner and received quite an extensive tour on the former visit. At that time we were extremely impressed that the history of this site has been so well preserved as well as the building. The plans for development appear to be inclusive of the residential community in which it sits. On this most recent visit we also enjoyed a drink and appetisers overlooking a lovely park in the mid-evening. What a perfect way to end a very busy day. We were also delighted that the music was not intrusive though at times a bit too percussive. While we thought that parking may be an issue we are delighted that the surrounding residential community is welcoming to guests who frequent this Boutique Inn. Parking in many other venues in this city can be quite a deterrent. What a perk that it was a non-issue. A great deal of thought has gone into making this place such a gem. Moving forward we will certainly include this spot amongst our favourites.

The staff were all very hospitable. The accommodations were less so. Think of an oceanview berth on a cruise ship, but without all the engineered features that make it comfortable. The shower door is so close to the foot of the bed that it can't be opened outward enough to enter, only inward, and there are large gaps so water runs out into the suite. This, I'm guessing, is why the parquet floor is loose and ill-fitting. While there is a chair, there's no accompanying table, so if you choose to eat in your room, you'll be using your lap. Opening your luggage is the same story — there isn't room even on the floor, so it's your lap or the bed. And please note there is no refrigerator — my bad for assuming that in this day and age. Then we were startled awake in the middle of our first night when one leg of the headboard collapsed. Exhausted from our trip, we decided to put up with the listing to portside for the rest of the night. We reported the issue and, for our second night, found a stack of 2x4s wedged under the corner for support. I should point out that while we're not in peak fitness, we're also not obese. Was it a memorable stay? Why yes, it was. Would we go back? Nope.

Not a big room by any means, but it was quite nice. The bed was very comfortable. We would have liked an ice machine available, but made do without. Loved that the Wild Rose Brewery & Taproom is a 10 minute walk away. We didn't try the onsite restaurant, as we were in the mood for something less frilly. Really enjoyed walking the halls, checking out the photos of Calgary's past. All in all, a lovely spot.

The room was small but well appointed. I had to watch the legs on the bed that I didn't stub my toes. It was very quiet and clean. At check in we were not made aware the premises would be locked at night. To get let in you have to call night staff to be let in but since we were not aware of this it was a bit inconvenient. The staff was very kind and accommodating. I felt like I was staying at a boutique oasis in the city.

The historic building was cute and in good condition. The room was clean and the comfortable. However the room was very small with insufficient room to even walk around the bed and toilet room was very cramped. Hallways and doors not large enough to walk in while carrying luggage.
