“On arrival I was told I’ve been downgraded to a standard room after paying for a premium room. Pretty rude staff wouldn’t change your alter and just saying I will just take it off the bill at the end. That wasn’t the answer what the answer I wanted was I’m sure your room isn’t available, but we can upgrade you to Different room, ordered two £40 steaks meals most of it was Fat with about eight chips overall we won’t be coming back really underrated for what you”
“Great location about 10 minutes drive into the City.
Large, clean room with tea, coffee etc and fresh milk in fridge & bottled water too.
Quirky room as part of an old pub so floors a little uneven and steepish staircase to get to rooms, but didn’t detract from the stay.
Breakfast was delicious and staff all extremely friendly & helpful.
As it’s a pub, you are obviously aware of noises from the pub during the day and evening but as soon as it closes, it’s very quiet.”

“Really lovely staff, lovely room and great food. Only point to note is that the accomodation is above the pub, so if you go to bed early this may not be the place for you as some of the bar sounds can be heard until closing time.”
“Staff were lovely and the room was delightful. As always, the location is perfect for walking. Service in the restaurant is friendly but has room for improvement (eg taking plates away promptly, and presenting wine at the right temperature (red wine temp was good on one day, but far too cold the next). It would be useful when booking if it were clearer that there is a restricted menu Sun - Tues. Overall, we really appreciate the welcome here.”
