"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Drake Bay Getaway Lodge. Nestled high in the trees with a spectacular view of Drake Bay, we went to sleep with the sound of the pounding surf and the calls of green-eyed tree frogs and awoke every morning to the sounds of Capuchin monkeys and yellow toucans. Do yourself a favor and have dinner at the hotel as often as you can. Chef Lily is a true artiste both in terms of flavour and presentation. Her passion-fruit creme brulee might be the best dessert I’ve ever had. The entire staff takes great care to ensure an enjoyable stay. We enthusiastically recommend staying here."

"The staff was helpful, warm and kind. The room was stunning. Wrap around windows, including the bathroom shower. Views of the ocean and up the hill into the trees. We regularly watched pairs of macaws fly in front of us. Immaculately clean. The coffee and yogurt served in the dining hall were unusually tasty. I highly recommend staying here if you go to Osa. Ask for room 3! Many of the tours depart from here, and it's the closest to the supermarket and laundry. Be aware that the rooms are very small with little storage space. However, if you came by plane - you likely only have a backpack anyway. Also it is hard to find the main office. "

"Loved this hotel. Excellent food and service. The view were fabulous, we saw toucans, macaws and humming birds from our terrace. We chose to travel from Sierpe and the boat ride to the hotel was very exciting! Would definitely stay again and hope to come back soon!"

"I was at the last cabana on the ridge. It had a kitchen in an attached room. It was great to bring back leftovers, make coffee and enjoy local fruit. There were 2 beds, a king and queen. The shower was walk in and everything worked well and was very clean. I ate at the table on the patio, enjoyed the hammock, and entertained by a multitude of birds, ant eater and ajouti. I would definitely come back."

"Our stay at Tranquilo Lodge was an absolute dream. Sebastien and Christophe are the most amazing hosts. Sebastien helped us plan out the best 4-5 day itenerary and was always around to help with anything we needed during our stay. The grounds are beautiful and maintained well and the view from the pool is absolutely stunning. The serving staff Cristina and Alex were so friendly and attentive. The Chef cooked up amazing lunches and lovely 3-4 course dinners. My wife and I look forward to coming back to Drake Bay to visit everyone at Tranquilo Lodge again in the future !"
