My kids and I absolutely loved staying here. The staff is so kind, the room was warm and cozy in the cold rainy weather, and the breakfast is amazing!!!! Really, stay here for the breakfast. They have everything and lots of it. Excellent coffee! We loved it. Our room had a lovely view of Table Mountain.

Southern Sun never fails to deliver.

The Southern Sun chain is an African institution that has been operating for years. I always use it whenever I can as it never fails to deliver on its service and it always feels like coming home. The Newlands team are always very friendly and the food is amazing. The breakfast buffet will also set you up for the day with its vast choices. Rooms are spotless.

Our recent stay at this hotel was generally enjoyable, with just a minor hiccup that impacted our experience. The only issue we encountered was with the fridge in our room. Hoping to keep some food and drinks fresh, we utilized the fridge, only to discover that it wasn't working as expected. We were informed that it's a cooler, not a fridge, but unfortunately, the cooling function wasn't operational at all. As a result, we had to discard the perishable items we had purchased. Despite this inconvenience, we want to highlight that our overall satisfaction with the hotel remains high. The level of service provided by the staff was commendable, and they were responsive to our needs throughout our stay

Great Hotel, great location and great staff

The hotel was very clean and exceeded our expectations. We had a last minute late night booking and the staff especially Helena was waiting for us to check in. She was very helpful and made a long night enjoyable. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the location was amazing.
