"The all inclusive was what I loved. Didn’t have to spend any extra money unless you wanted too. I would say I was disappointed that the jerk chicken shack was being painted and I never was able to eat any Also the auction every day was only 2 items. By the time we finally caught it. It was our last day so I ended up giving my Riu bucks to another guest. They should definitely auction off more than 2 items. Especially since it’s small items like coffee mugs "

"Room was nice once we were accommodated a room change . Initially we were in room 829. We were very displeased with the view from 829. The hotel was very accommodating and moved us to room 1210. That view was amazing and the room was in much better condition than 829. The Staff overall were incredibly friendly which I found refreshing. Pit bosses need to be a bit friendlier . And some casino staff were moody. They need to improve in customer service in the casino. The food options were very very good for an all inclusive. Buffets were very impressive and restaurants were very good . "

"The hotel is beautiful! The buffet breakfast option has great selection but a bit pricey if you’re not someone that eats a ton. This hotel is a bit far from the airport and city so plan around transportation and/or rent a car. "

"Beautiful place with everything you need 💕"

"After looking at a number of places to stay for our 20th anniversary, we settled on the Royal Sonesta. This place was absolutely amazing, very nice and clean, with kind and welcoming staff. It's right on the beach, with loungers and umbrellas available for hotel guests. There's a bar and restaurant right on the beach as well. The food and drinks were very good, and the swim up bar was nice once it reopened 5 days into our 7 days stay. If I were to note some areas for improvement, I would start with the refrigerator in our room. It kept freezing items we put into it, even at the lowest setting. Meals and drinks at the hotel proved to be too expensive for us after only a few days, so we stopped at a grocery store for supplies. However we ended up with frozen yogurt and fruit in the morning after placing those items in the refrigerator. The USB ports built into the furniture also did not work for charging at all. Additionally only 2 of the 3 elevators worked the entire time we were there. Beyond that, I greatly enjoyed our stay here. Every staff member I met was warm and kind, our room and all the facilities were clean and beautiful with so much greenery around."

"We stayed in Premium Sea View Suite and room was fabulous! Very clean and comfortable and super spacious. Housekeeping was on point and minibar got stocked daily. Premium has included room service and we utilized that twice. Food is not amazing, but options are plenty and we were not going hungry. Staff is exceptional, always polite and helpful! Buffets on adult side definitely had better food and all the restaurants we chose had at least one item from our meal we truly enjoyed. We have up on Kiyoto because heat was overwhelming. Most of places are on the warmer side as far as temperature goes. Theater is open to outside, has large fans. Shows were left to be desired but views and grounds definitely makes up for that! Overall we loved the experience and would return! "
