3/5 Okay
"On the positive side, the views from the pool are astonishing and the architectural design of the property is impressive. The spa is well equipped and the therapists are competent. The bed linen is of high quality and the staff in general tries hard to make you feel comfortable. For the price they charge that’s all kind of expected though in my view.
On the negative side, service is a bit sloppy. As an example they offered us a butler service to unpack our bags and organize clothes. We accepted it but they never delivered it. We complained about a foul smell in the bathroom a few times but they never managed to fix it. The food in the restaurant is not what’s expected from a 5 star hotel especially at the prices they charge. The chef seems to really love bell peppers and coriander and can’t manage to prepare dishes without these ingredients unless one requests it one day in advance. The very humble next door restaurant (Saravah) manages to prepare any dish to anyone’s taste at a fraction of the price.
Lastly, the area around the property is a bit rough. There are very limited restaurant options, it feels a bit unsafe and there is no beach service. "
